Worley joins Aramco's five-year project management consultancy program
(WO) — Worley has been selected as one of 11 contractors on Aramco's five-year project management consultancy (PMC) agreement, supporting engineering and project delivery across the Saudi energy company's capital investment program.
The framework agreement is intended to support Aramco's projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia across the energy, chemicals and resources sectors, including critical infrastructure serving both domestic and international markets.
Under the agreement, Worley will provide a range of project management consultancy services, including engineering and design, project development studies, detailed engineering, procurement support, project and construction management, and technical advisory services.
Work will be executed primarily from Worley's offices in Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom, with additional support from the company's Global Integrated Delivery (GID) network.
The agreement also calls for Worley to deploy digital technologies—including artificial intelligence, digital twins, robotics, automation, augmented and virtual reality, and digital scanning—to improve engineering delivery while meeting Aramco's engineering and cybersecurity requirements.
In addition to project execution, Worley said it will support the development of local engineering talent in Saudi Arabia as part of the program.
"We are pleased to continue our relationship with Aramco of more than 50 years through this agreement," said Chris Ashton, chief executive officer of Worley. "This framework agreement reflects our capability to provide integrated engineering and project management services across global portfolios."
The five-year agreement supports one of the world's largest ongoing energy capital investment programs as Aramco continues to advance projects across its upstream, downstream and chemicals businesses.
