Vår Energi extends CoreIntegrity deployment on Goliat FPSO

(WO) — CoreMarine and Vår Energi are extending deployment of the CoreIntegrity digital integrity management platform on the Goliat FPSO as operators continue expanding the use of real-time monitoring and analytics across offshore operations.

According to CoreMarine, the renewed agreement builds on several years of collaboration involving mooring system monitoring, integrity verification and operational decision support aboard the Goliat floating production, storage and offloading vessel offshore Norway.

The company said the platform has evolved from a standalone monitoring tool into a broader operational support system integrating mooring data, wave radar, draft sensors and inspection records into a centralized digital environment.

CoreMarine said the system has also been used to improve mooring load verification methodologies and support fatigue assessment programs through updated calibration and data validation workflows.

“Over the past years, CoreIntegrity has become embedded in how the Goliat FPSO operates day to day,” said Hale Korkmaz, CoreMarine lead project manager. “It’s no longer just about monitoring moorings — it’s about enabling faster decisions, preventing issues before they escalate, and giving operations teams continuous confidence in the integrity of a critical offshore asset.”

The next phase of development is expected to include additional functionality tied to riser monitoring, automated model calibration, expanded fatigue tracking and enhanced survey interfaces to support offshore re-tensioning operations.

CoreMarine also said future enhancements are being aligned with NORSOK standards and could support broader fleet-wide deployment across additional offshore assets.

CEO Ben Fitzgerald said digital integrity management is becoming increasingly important as operators seek to improve operational reliability, reduce risk and extend offshore asset life.

The Goliat FPSO, located in the Barents Sea, remains one of Norway’s key producing offshore assets and has been a major focus for offshore digitalization and integrity management initiatives in recent years.
