ASCO wins new offshore and gas support contracts in Australia
(WO) - ASCO has secured a series of new contracts in Australia, expanding its role across offshore decommissioning, gas development and logistics support services.
The awards, totaling $33.2 million (AUD), span multiple service lines, including environmental services, supply base operations and camp management, reinforcing ASCO’s position as a support provider to energy projects across Western Australia and the Northern Territory.
Offshore, ASCO will support a decommissioning project off Western Australia’s northwest coast, providing Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material (NORM) services, including radiation safety personnel and monitoring systems. The work is expected to run through much of 2026.
In Darwin, the company has secured logistics and marine services scopes tied to industrial and offshore activity, including support for a float-over project in the Browse basin. These contracts include transport coordination, storage, port services and regulatory support.
ASCO has also been awarded a multi-year contract supporting operations at the Waitsia gas plant in the Perth basin, where it will deliver camp and accommodation services tied to ongoing development activity.
“These contract wins highlight ASCO’s growing presence across Australia and our ability to deliver integrated solutions from planning through to execution,” said CEO Mike Pettigrew.
At the regional level, Australia Managing Director Warren McHardie added that the contracts “strengthen our role in delivering critical energy and industrial projects,” citing the company’s integrated offshore and onshore capabilities.
The awards underscore continued demand for logistics and operational support as offshore decommissioning and gas development activity advance across Australia.
