Energy NL names new board, chair to guide Newfoundland offshore energy industry

(WO) - Energy NL has appointed a new board of directors following its Annual General Meeting in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, with new leadership set to guide the province’s offshore energy supply and service sector. 

Brad Forsey, Director of Business Development at The Cahill Group, has assumed a one-year term as Chair, with Stephanie Maloney, Vice President of Strategy and Stakeholder Engagement at Green Infrastructure Partners, serving as Vice Chair. Susan Collins of PF Collins International Trade Solutions was named Treasurer, while Richard Mandeville of Yeomanry Consulting transitions to Past Chair.

Six new directors were elected to two-year terms: Erin Gillis (DF Barnes), Philip Harrington (NSB-Omega), Gillian Pearson (Robot Interactive + Marketing Ltd./Engage Technologies), Stephen Penton (Aker Solutions Canada), Glen Walbourne (Crosbie), and Barry Yetman (Wood). They join returning directors Emily McNamara (Horizon Maritime Services) and Karen Perry (Hatch).

“I will focus on ensuring local content and local benefits are key to all energy projects in Newfoundland and Labrador,” Forsey said, adding that he will work with members to ensure local expertise plays a leading role in project development.

Energy NL represents more than 500 member organizations involved in the global energy supply and service sector, including companies supporting offshore oil and gas activity in Atlantic Canada.
