ABL, PetroSafe strengthen Egypt energy assets with safety, engineering services MoU
(WO) - ABL Group has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with PetroSafe, Egypt’s Petroleum Safety and Environmental Services Company, to collaborate on technical services aimed at improving safety, integrity and performance across the country’s energy assets.
The agreement covers both offshore and onshore facilities, with a focus on through-life asset performance, subsea infrastructure support and operational safety.
Under the MoU, ABL Group will leverage its Egypt-based operations, including energy and marine consultancy ABL and engineering firm Longitude, to support PetroSafe across a range of services. These include marine assurance, vessel inspections, dynamic positioning (DP) trials, and critical systems consulting, as well as engineering support and training programs for operators and industry stakeholders.
The collaboration also extends to ports and harbors consultancy, including decarbonization initiatives, as Egypt continues to expand its offshore activity and associated infrastructure.
The agreement builds on a previously established partnership between the companies focused on asset and data management, and reflects growing demand for integrated technical services in Egypt’s energy sector.
With offshore development activity increasing, the companies said the partnership is intended to support safe and efficient operations, while strengthening long-term asset reliability and performance across the lifecycle of energy projects.
