The multi-year agreement establishes a dedicated collaboration between the companies to support large-scale hydraulic fracturing operations across YPF’s acreage. The contract was awarded following a competitive bidding process.

Under the agreement, Halliburton will deploy its ZEUS electric fracturing system in Argentina, marking the first international application of the technology. The system is designed to improve operational efficiency and reduce emissions intensity compared to conventional diesel-powered fracturing fleets.

The scope also includes Halliburton’s OCTIV digital fracturing platform, which integrates automation and real-time data to support consistent execution during pumping operations. The combined approach leverages electrification and digital workflows to optimize completions performance and enhance operational control.

Vaca Muerta remains a key growth area for Argentina’s upstream sector, with operators continuing to scale unconventional development to increase oil and gas output and support export capacity.

The award reflects ongoing investment in advanced completion technologies as operators seek to improve efficiency, reduce costs and manage emissions in large-scale shale developments.
