ABL, Maridive sign marine assurance deal for offshore fleet operations
(WO) — ABL has entered into a two-year master services agreement with Maridive & Oil Services to provide marine assurance and risk support for offshore vessel operations.
Under the agreement, ABL’s Egypt-based team will deliver services including vessel inspections, audits, marine asset surveys, pre-purchase assessments, dynamic positioning (DP) assurance and consulting, as well as critical systems evaluations such as FMEA and FMECA.
Maridive, which operates one of the largest offshore fleets in Egypt, deploys vessels across the Mediterranean Sea, Red Sea, North and West Africa, and the Asia-Pacific region. Its fleet includes offshore support vessels, diving support vessels, platform supply vessels and anchor-handling tugs.
“This MSA is a reflection of that beneficial industry collaboration – supporting the optimum performance of offshore vessels for safe and successful operations in Egyptian energy.”
Tamer Gamil, Country Manager, ABL Egypt
ABL said the agreement builds on an existing relationship between the two companies, including collaboration on improvements to DP2 vessel performance during stern thruster changeovers.
“We are pleased to formalize our continued collaboration with ABL through this MSA. At Maridive & Oil Services, our priority is to maintain the highest standards of safety, operational efficiency, and reliability across our fleet. ABL’s proven expertise in marine assurance and DP services, along with our joint efforts in driving practical innovations, makes them a valued partner in supporting our operations. This agreement reinforces our commitment to delivering safe and high-performance offshore services to our clients.”
Muhammad Fouda, Operations Director at Maridive & Oil Services
ABL has operated in Egypt since 2018 and holds a dominant share of the country’s marine assurance and DP services market. The company has also expanded its presence through its sister firm, Longitude, to provide integrated offshore engineering and design support.
ABL is part of ABL Group ASA, a global energy and marine consultancy headquartered in Oslo.
