OTC announces 2026 Spotlight on New Technology Award winners

March 16, 2026

(WO) - The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) has announced the winners of its 2026 Spotlight on New Technology Awards, recognizing 17 innovations designed to advance offshore drilling, subsea systems, digital technologies and well construction.

The annual program highlights emerging technologies that demonstrate technical innovation, commercial potential and measurable industry impact. This year’s winners include developments ranging from autonomous well construction systems and advanced drilling intelligence to AI-driven geotechnical modeling and next-generation subsea equipment.

Among the companies recognized were Baker Hughes, Bosch Rexroth, Fugro, Oil States, SLB and Teledyne Marine.

Four of the awards were presented to small businesses—HYTORC, i2k Connect, KeyDrill Technology and Oliden Technology—highlighting emerging innovations from independent technology developers.

Since its launch in 2014, the OTC Spotlight program has showcased new offshore technologies across the industry while also recognizing innovations from smaller companies with fewer than 300 employees.

The 2026 award recipients will be honored during the Offshore Technology Conference on May 4 at the NRG Center in Houston.
