Westwood launches MarineLogix offshore vessel intelligence platform

February 03, 2026

(WO) - Westwood Global Energy Group has launched MarineLogix, a new offshore vessel intelligence platform designed to improve visibility into vessel activity, utilization and availability across global offshore oil and gas markets.

The platform aggregates vessel profiles, interactive mapping and market analytics covering more than 10,000 offshore vessels, 2,500 owners and over 30 vessel classes supporting offshore energy operations. MarineLogix uses a purpose-built utilization methodology that analyzes AIS data to construct continuous activity timelines based on offshore working behavior, rather than generic vessel movement.

Chen Wei, Senior Manager, Offshore Marine at Westwood.

By linking vessel activity to proprietary offshore infrastructure datasets, the platform allows users to assess utilization by region, vessel class and market segment, supporting benchmarking of working days and identification of deployment and capacity constraints. Westwood said the tool is intended to help operators, contractors and investors navigate tightening offshore schedules, shifting demand and execution risk across oil and gas basins.

“One of the biggest challenges in the offshore vessel market is inconsistent and non-comparable measures of vessel activity,” said Chen Wei, senior manager of offshore marine at Westwood. “MarineLogix provides a consistent framework that allows users to track market developments and make more informed deployment and investment decisions.”

Westwood said MarineLogix expands its OffshoreLogix product environment by integrating vessel intelligence with broader offshore datasets, supporting a more comprehensive view of offshore activity as oil and gas projects move into increasingly complex development and execution phases.
