Subsea7 has been awarded a sizeable subsea installation contract by LLOG Exploration Offshore for the Buckskin South Expansion project in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico.
The Buckskin field is located about 305 km off the coast of Texas. Subsea7’s scope of work includes transportation and installation of a subsea umbilical and rigid flowline in water depths reaching approximately 2,100 m.
Project management and engineering activities will begin immediately from Subsea7’s Houston office, with offshore installation campaigns scheduled for 2026 and 2027. Subsea7 classifies the award as a sizeable contract, with an estimated value between $50 million and $150 million.
According to the company, the project builds on its ongoing collaboration with LLOG in the U.S. Gulf, including prior deepwater developments that have recently entered production.
