Forum Energy Technologies secures ROV contract with DOF for Brazil subsea operations
Forum Energy Technologies (FET) has secured a contract from long-term client DOF for the delivery of a work-class remotely operated vehicle (ROV) and tether management system to support subsea operations offshore Brazil. The new system is scheduled for delivery in late 2025.
The latest-generation XLX-C24 ROV will be equipped with FET’s advanced ICE Unity Control system and full remote operations capability. The high-specification system is designed to operate in demanding offshore environments, extending FET’s legacy of reliable subsea performance.
DOF, which operates one of the largest fleets of FET XLX ROVs globally, continues to rely on the company’s subsea technologies for its operations. “This contract reflects the continued confidence DOF places in our subsea technologies and service,” said Kevin Taylor, Vice President at FET Subsea. “The XLX-C24 represents the very latest in ROV performance, and we are proud to support DOF in their ongoing Brazil operations.”
FET said the award underscores the company’s strong growth in subsea robotics and its strategic focus on providing reliable, next-generation systems for offshore energy, renewables, defense, and deep-sea applications.
