Subsea Supplies expands Aberdeen base, signs European thruster deal with Innerspace
(WO) — Subsea Supplies has expanded its Aberdeen base and entered into an exclusive distribution and certified service center agreement with U.S.-based Innerspace, covering its full line of electric and hydraulic thrusters for the UK and European markets.
Under the agreement, Subsea Supplies will manage regional distribution and service operations from its newly enlarged Aberdeen facility, where workshop capacity has increased by one-third to meet growing project demand. The partnership will provide faster access to Innerspace’s thruster technology, with local inventory improving delivery times and minimizing operator downtime across the subsea, defense, and offshore energy sectors.
As a certified service center, Subsea Supplies will also perform repairs, diagnostics, overhauls, and upgrades, enhancing regional technical support and ensuring lifecycle reliability for European customers. “The subsea industry is changing fast, and this partnership gives our clients quicker access to advanced thruster technology with the reassurance of local service,” said Pauline McCann, Operations Director at Subsea Supplies. “Now, with our increased workshop space and stockroom availability, we can cut lead times and streamline our product offering with in-house repairs and auditing.”
The collaboration marks Innerspace’s first official distributor partnership as part of its strategy to expand global support capabilities and strengthen its presence in key offshore markets. “By collaborating with a reputable and established UK-based company like Subsea Supplies, we’ve unlocked localized inventory, technical expertise, and faster customer response times in the UK, Europe, and beyond,” said Omar Rafeh, Vice President of Innerspace.
In its 25th year, Subsea Supplies continues to invest in its growth, adding new technical staff, increasing storage capacity, and commissioning a neoprene molding machine to support rising production volumes. The company recently launched a new website to showcase its expanded subsea equipment portfolio and highlight its manufacturing and service capabilities. Subsea Supplies achieved record turnover of £10 million in 2024, underscoring its strong performance across the ROV, AUV, ocean science, and defense markets.
