(WO)— Energy Workforce & Technology Council SVP Government Affairs and Counsel Tim Tarpley was named one of The Hill’s top lobbyists for 2022. The annual list honors corporate lobbyists, trade association leaders, government affairs professionals, and grassroots activists.

“It is an honor to be recognized for representing an industry that is literally powering the world,” Tarpley said. “I feel privileged to represent and advocate on behalf of our Member Companies and their employees in the halls of Congress, and through our state and federal outreach.”

This past year, Tarpley and his team have engaged with stakeholders, holding more than 100 meetings with Members of Congress, hosting nine events for local officials, and ensuring the sector’s views are heard during the regulatory process by filing official comments on proposed rules from executive agencies. Tarpley has also testified in front of Congress and at the state level about issues important to the industry.

“I am thrilled to see Tim’s hard work recognized in this manner,” Leslie Beyer, CEO, Energy Workforce & Technology Council, said. “His dedication and commitment to our members is unwavering. He works every day to ensure the value of our sector on our national and economic security is recognized by federal, state and local leaders and stakeholders. I can’t think of a more deserving person for this honor.”
