Subsea 7 bringing experienced engineers to oil and gas

August 20, 2019

ABERDEEN – Subsea 7 is continuing its Engineering Conversion Program, based in Aberdeen, to help experienced engineers from civil engineering and military roles to transfer skills and build new careers in the subsea oil and gas industry.

Operating since 2005, the conversion program provides an introduction to subsea engineering generally, and Subsea 7 activities specifically. Coursework includes offshore survival training, vessel and construction site visits, and ongoing development and mentoring by colleagues within the business.

Subsea 7 states that the goal of the program is to recruit project installation engineers, responsible for execution and delivery of a variety of projects, ranging from Inspection Repair and Maintenance to major EPIC developments.

More information on the Engineering Conversion Program can be found on Subsea 7’s website.
