EXTON, Pa. -- Products made with AFLAS 600X fluoroelastomer grade from AGC Chemicals Americas last longer in the wet, high-pressure, amine- and base-rich environments of oil and gas recovery. When made with AFLAS 600X, molded parts like durable packers, bladders, gaskets, and O-rings exhibit excellent electrical and thermal resistance.

At the 2019 Oil & Gas Polymer Engineering Conference, David Lavanga, innovation Engineering Manager for the Performance Polymers Division of AGC, will present “Recent Advances in FEPM Fluoroelastomers for Improved Processing, Cure and Performance." He will discuss new FEPM grades that exhibit improved processability and mold release, a lower compression set and improved hot tear strength, while maintaining the expected chemical and temperature resistance. His session is scheduled for Tue., June 4, 2019, at 12:20 p.m.

AFLAS 600X is a tetrafluoroethylene propylene (FEPM) material that offers performance and processing advantages over BRE, FKMs and other AFLAS grades.
