CSI Compressco opens center of excellence facility in East Texas

April 10, 2019

KILGORE, Texas -- CSI Compressco LP has completed the relocation and expansion of its East Texas facility from Longview to Kilgore. This new “Center of Excellence” facility provides the company with a significant increase in compressor fleet repair and overhaul services, as well as aftermarket services and parts. The new location will also offer a hub facility for the company’s expanded field service and parts stocking capabilities in the region. V.P. of Operations Roy McNiven said, “East Texas continues to be a strong market for CSI, both for Compression Services and Aftermarket Parts and Services. In support of our continued growth and loyal customer base, we are excited to expand our capacity to better serve the local market.”

Situated on 15 acres just north of Kilgore, Texas, the facility includes 2,500 ft2 of office space and more than 10,000 ft2 of shop space. The shop includes a 10-t crane and 16-ft doors that have been widened to over 22 ft to accommodate +1,000HP larger frame compressor skids. A separate 7,500-ft2 shop has been constructed on the property to house a complete inventory of aftermarket compressor and engine parts.

With the resurgence of natural gas activity in the ArkLaTex region, including the Haynesville Shale, Eagle Bine and Austin Chalk plays, CSI Compressco felt the timing was right to launch the “centers of excellence” concept to expand the service offering from this location. A current staff of 35 personnel occupy the East Texas facility.

Service Manager James Branson states, “This new centralized facility allows us to service our compressor rental fleet more efficiently, while expanding our aftermarket services and parts sales. We have more than doubled our capacity here in East Texas.”
