SPRING, Texas -- InterDam, supplier of fire and blast resistant architectural products for the oil industry, recently opened a new office in Houston, Texas to strengthen its position in the North American market, and leverage the area’s diverse and expansive customer base.

InterDam’s product development, over the past ten years, has created a product line in response to the industry's fit-for-purpose needs, including prefabricated fire resistant and post blast walls, windows and doors that fit modular and standardized building designs.

Conforming to U.S. Coast Guard and UL fire and blast regulations, InterDam’s cost effective and lightweight products are designed to withstand a fire outbreak in a post blast situation, exceeding current standards and leading the market in workforce safety.

Heading the U.S. office is Mrs. Christa Klein, who joined InterDam from Canrig Drilling Technology Ltd., and brings over 15 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas sector.

“I am really excited to have joined InterDam. The company offers an extensive range of innovative fire and blast-resistant products for the industry, and several U.S. based clients are already enjoying the benefits”, said Mrs. Klein.

“The decision to expand our presence in Houston was a logical step in our business growth strategy”, said Berend Groeneveld, CEO. “Houston is the global hub for the energy sector and in particular the oil & gas sector. The U.S. office allows us to service our existing clients and continue to expand our footprint in a sector that highly values the safety and efficiency of our product lines. I welcome the appointment of Christa to InterDam and am confident that she will be a great asset for our continued success in the Western hemisphere”.
