Jifmar Offshore Services acquires Delta Marine

AIX-EN-PROVENCE, FRANCE – Jifmar Offshore Services is continuing its expansion in Scotland with acquisition of the Shetland-based Delta Marine Ltd, one year after taking over North West Marine.

Through this acquisition, Jifmar will operate a fleet of nearly 40 vessels worldwide. It will also reinforce its position in servicing the renewables sector, where Delta Marine is strongly active. With 2 DP vessels in the Delta Marine’s fleet, Jifmar now has 4 DP2 multicats and 8 DP1 vessels to offer to its clients worldwide.

“With VOE Earl being the most powerful DP multicat currently on the market and the specific design of VOE Vanguard, we will be in a position to expand the range of services offered to our clients,” says Jean-Michel Berud, chairman of Jifmar.

With the fleets of Delta Marine and North West Marine, the group is now operating nine vessels under the Scottish flag. Strong synergies will be created between North West Marine’s 27 years of experience as diving contractor, the state-of-the-art vessels from Delta Marine and the engineering support of Jifmar. Thanks to that alliance, the group will reinforce its position as marine turnkey solution provider and improve its ability to answer specific needs from its clients.

“With Jifmar’s well known engineering capabilities, we will now be in a position to offer a broader range of services to our clients,” states Dave McNaughtan, CEO of Delta Marine.
