Gauthiers Oilfield Rental, LLC has changed its name to Modex, LLC

LAFAYETTE, La. -- Gauthiers' Oilfield Rental, LLC is pleased to announce that effective Dec. 1, 2018, it changed its name to Modex, LLC. The name change follows the transaction between the companies in May 2015 where Gauthiers' Oilfield Rental, LLC became part of Modex. Modex offers sale and rental of offshore containers, baskets, cabins, workshops and support equipment for the offshore industry.

"We are excited to align our branding with our global team." says Garett Gauthier, America's region director. "Modex continues to invest in state of the art equipment that our customers demand. We have seen positive pickup in the utilization of our equipment as the market returns. Our team will continue to strengthen the Modex brand in the Americas and our alignment of branding will support this effort."

All branding materials will be updated to reflect the change. Meanwhile, the existing Louisiana locations (in Lafayette, Houma and Port Fourchon) will continue under the same management while continuing to expand offerings and develop a broader range of products and services.

Modex has an inventory of more than 18,000 units, a global presence and comprehensive service offerings from engineering and manufacturing to the sale and leasing of units. The company currently has operations in Norway, UK, Bulgaria, Romania, The Netherlands, Denmark, Brazil, UAE, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Canada and the United States with further growth planned in the future.

Modex continues to build its fleet of a full line of certified cabins and workshops built especially for the hostile offshore environment. These cabins have several potential applications, including cabins, workshops, operating rooms, laboratories, control rooms and offices, among others. Equipment certifications cover major national and international safety standards, including IEC, NEC, ATEX, DNV 2.7-1, DNV 2.7-2, EN 12079, ABS, US Coast Guard, SOLAS and NORSOK. Customization options include hoists, electrical coding, fireproof lockers, interior cranes or any other features needed for specific conditions are available.
