Bureau Veritas adds new COO, head of HR

NEW YORK CITY -- Bureau Veritas, testing, inspection, and certification TIC services company, has announced the appointments of two leadership roles as the company continues its commitment towards growing in key market sectors and streamlining its business operations across North America.
 
TJ Johansen was named senior V.P. and COO- oil and gas market segment.  Based in the Houston office, Johansen will be responsible for leading the company’s O&G commodities and industries group. With over 20 years of progressive leadership experience, Johansen joins Bureau Veritas from Kemira Oyj where he served as president, oil and mining division and president- Americas.
 
Maggie Laureano joins Bureau Veritas as V.P. and HR head for North America. She has more than 20 years of human resources leadership experience across multiple industries and brings proven HR expertise in talent and performance management, learning, talent acquisition, and compensation and benefits.  Laureano is responsible for accelerating talent management and talent acquisition programs to adequately support BV’s growth rate and scale in North America. She joins BV from Embraer Aircraft Holding, where she served as a V.P., human resources.
