TAM International appoints new chairman of the board, president

HOUSTON -- TAM International, Inc., an independent oilfield services company providing inflatable and swellable packers to the oil and gas industry, announces that L. Bentley Sanford has moved into the position of chairman of the board and has appointed Michael Machowski as the new president of the company.

L. Bentley Sanford joined TAM in 1982, and has more than 35 years of business and management experience within the oilfield services industry. During his tenure at TAM, Sanford has grown it to be a global leader in its business, operating in more than 20 countries with over 300 employees. Sanford received a BS degree in business from Trinity University in 1978 and his J.D. degree from South Texas College of Law in 1981.  He previously held the position of president at TAM.

“This change will allow me to concentrate my efforts in strategic areas outside of the fundamental day-to-day operations of TAM,” said Sanford.

Michael Machowski joined TAM in 2010, and has more than 40 years of domestic and international experience in the oilfield services industry. Before joining TAM, Machowski held various management positions at companies such as Baker Hughes, Weatherford, Halliburton, and Smith.  He graduated from Louisiana State University with a BS degree in business administration. Previously he was chief operating officer of the company.

“I look forward to building on the solid foundation of this company and will focus my energy on our commitment to our customers and excellence at the Wellsite,” said Machowski.
