Most DUCs are within the Permian, Eagle Ford, Bakken and Niobrara: Rystad
HOUTSON -- Operators have accumulated about 3,900 drilled but uncompleted horizontal oil wells (DUCs) across the U.S. shale, with more than 90% of these located within the major liquids plays, according to the latest analysis by Rystad Energy.

The largest DUC inventory is spread over the Permian basin with 1,200, the Eagle Ford with about 1,000, and the Bakken with some 850 wells awaiting completion services.
The remaining oil DUCs are located in the Niobrara (about 620 wells) and other plays (about 270 wells).
