GEODynamics releases QuickStart Inject and Frac Valve

April 19, 2016

FORT WORTH, Texas -- GEODynamics, Inc.’s Engineered Completion Solutions Division has completed extensive field testing of the QuickStart Inject and Frac Valve product line and is broadly releasing it to the global horizontal completion market immediately. The results of field testing yielded 100% successful toe-stage openings in over 120 wells in the U.S.

The patented QuickStart Inject and Frac Valve is the value offering within GEODynamics’ broader patented SmartStart Plus Time Delay Test and Frac product line, which has been successfully deployed more than 4,000 times. The company believes this success rate makes it the most reliable toe-stage injection valve technology in the industry.

“The reliability of the SmartStart Plus and QuickStart Valves are the result of extensive engineering development efforts, relentless in-house manufacturing quality and our patented TORQ Thru and Port Jetting technology,” said Raymond Shaffer, completion tools product manager. “Operators have reported that QuickStart Valves using our Port Jetting technology have greatly improved their ability to inject into the toe stage of their wells.”

Cameron Kirkpatrick, V.P. of U.S. Sales, commented, “Our SmartStart Plus product line allows our customers to meet the most stringent regulatory and safety test requirements; while in today’s difficult economic environment, the QuickStart Inject and Frac Valve reduces cost, increases reliability, improves safety, and maximizes toe-stage injectivity compared to competitive products.”
