SAL Heavy Lift names new head of Asia desk
HAMBURG, Germany -- SAL Heavy Lift has appointed Jürgen Kuntz as the new head of the company's Asia desk in Hamburg.
Kuntz started with SAL as a trainee in 1993. In 2001, he opened the first overseas office for SAL in Shanghai, which will soon be followed by a second office in Beijing. Having worked as general manager for SAL in China for ten years, in 2011 Kuntz decided to seek new challenges with BBC Chartering in the Chinese market.
In his many years in Asia, Kuntz has been broadening his experience in the heavy lift shipping industry, and he is now returning to SAL with great know-how, new ideas and concepts. As of Jan. 1, Kuntz's responsibilities are to strengthen and expand SAL's Asia-related business.
