Chem Rock’s OmegaStim completes 4,000th fracking stage, marks milestone

LAFAYETTE, Louisiana -- Chem Rock has announced that its premier fluid system, OmegaStim, has successfully completed its 4,000th stage.

Designed as a direct replacement for traditional cross linked and hybrid fluid systems, OmegaStim is the industry’s first field proven, viscosity enhanced, and fully breakable slick water fluid system.

As the price of crude oil continues to plunge and the industry is threatened with cutbacks, oil and gas operators are seeking solutions to cut costs without cutting production.

OmegaStim, with the performance characteristics of a cross linked fluid and the cleanliness and economic advantages of a slick water system, is increasingly being turned to as a low cost, high return solution.

Launched in December 2013, OmegaStim has been successfully pumped on 4,000 stages in the DJ basin, Permian basin, Bakken, Haynesville shale, Tuscaloosa Marine shale and the Barnett shale.

OmegaStim is proprietary technology developed at Chem Rock’s facility in Lafayette, Louisiana by some of the industry’s most knowledgeable and experienced chemists and fluid managers.
