Aqualis Offshore will accompany the ship from Singapore to Port Elizabeth, South Africa. The rig’s ultimate destination, however, is Statoil’s Mariner field development in the UK sector of the North Sea. TGS and Schlumberger have launched the Dual Coil Shooting multi-vessel, full-azimuth acquisition Revolution XII and XIII surveys in the Gulf of Mexico (GOM). The surveys will cover approximately 7,150 km2 in the Green Canyon, Atwater Valley and Ewing Bank protraction areas of the Central GOM. They will be acquired using the Schlumberger WesternGeco Q-Marine point-receiver marine seismic system, combined with the proprietary multi-vessel, Dual Coil Shooting acquisition technique, which will provide broadband, full-azimuth data. The combination of technology is aimed at improving illumination and imaging of the complex geologic features of the region. Acquisition is expected to resolve in first-quarter 2017, with final processed data available in early 2018.

The manned A6-A platform, in the German sector, is presently undergoing a major overhaul, as WINZ adds an oil processing plant. DNV GL’s scope of work will cover the Independent Verification of Management of Safety and Environmentally Critical Elements. This involves a combination of onshore review of assurance records, physical survey and witness of offshore/site activities.

According to Tenaris, the service center will provide complete pipe management services, including demand planning and inventory management, preparation for running offshore, PipeTracer pipe-by-pipe identification and net invoicing. Services will aid Chevron in improving operation reliability and efficiency, while reducing the total cost of operation.
