dGB Earth Sciences announced that Kristofer Tingdahl has become the company’s new CEO. Tingdahl will take the reins from dGB founder Paul de Groot, who will remain as President of the company and focus on business development. Tingdahl joined dGB in 1998 and has been one of its leaders in geoscientific software development over the past few years.


Hertel has made a number of senior appointments in the Middle East. Jan Bruggenthijs will take up the role, on an interim basis, of Director for the Middle East, taking over from John Potts, who is returning to the UK. Bruggenthijs has held a number of senior management roles, including at Stork Industrial Services and Fabricom. David Nickerson will become Regional Director for Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Previously Nickerson worked as Managing Director of BIS Salamis as well as holding senior positions in Cape and Bains Harding. Lee McLean Marshall will take up the position of Regional Director for the UAE, Qatar and Oman.


Marathon Oil announced that Lance W. Robertson will be joining the company as Regional Vice President for South Texas/Eagle Ford. In this newly created position, he will be responsible for all Marathon operations in the Eagle Ford shale play. Robertson most recently served as Vice President of Operations for Pioneer Natural Resources’ Eagle Ford Asset Team.


UK-based Brinker Technology has named Vice President of Sales and Operations Kenny McAllister as its CEO. McAllister joined Brinker in late 2010 from Halliburton, where he was a senior account manager. McAllister has worked across the world, including roles in Europe, Africa, the FSU and the Middle East. He will lead Brinker’s global development strategy.


Oscar Lopez has joined T&T Bisso as an Assistant Project Manager and On-Site Coordinator, bringing more than 10 years of experience in Salvage Logistics support and project management. Lopez held a number of positions within Titan Salvage in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Resolve Marine Group in Mobile, Alabama. As a certified Project Manager, Lopez will be supporting the on-site management needs of T&T Bisso’s growing salvage and wreck-removal business.


2H Offshore has announced two new appointments, Tim Eyles and David Walters. Eyles takes the position of Managing Director of the 2H Offshore group of companies. He will also continue to share the running of 2H Offshore’s engineering office in Woking, UK. Walters, joint leader of the company’s Houston office, has been added to the 2H Offshore global management team as a principal director. Eyles and Walters joined 2H Offshore in 1998 and 1997 respectively, both directly after graduating from the University of Surrey, UK.


Ashtead Technology has appointed Martyn Conroy as Sales Director of its Offshore division. Conroy has over 15 years of experience in the subsea industry, having held subsea leadership roles with FirstSubsea, Hydratight and, most recently, as Specialist Services Business Leader with RBG Group. Conroy will be based in the Aberdeen office.


Ametek SCP has named two to staff positions at the subsea cable equipment manufacturer. David Duffié has been named Vice President and General Manager.  He joined Ametek SCP in March and is a retired US Navy Submarine Captain with more than 30 years of naval experience.  Pamela Hurst was named Vice President of Business Development.  Hurst joins Ametek SCP with over 35 years of experience in naval, maritime and ocean-based systems.  Along with extensive business development experience, her background includes senior engineering positions with Battelle, AT&T, GDAIS, Lockheed Martin, Westinghouse and Honeywell.


Hoover Materials Handling Group has announced that Bill Wright has joined as Plant Manager of its Houston manufacturing facility.  Wright’s responsibilities will include supervision and management of Hoover’s manufacturing facility including production, fabrication and shipping departments with emphasis on welding and fabrication procedures.


US Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar has named current Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement (BOEMRE) Director Michael R. Bromwich to lead the newly formed Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) and current BOEMRE Senior Advisor Tommy P. Beaudreau to lead the newly formed Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM). Bromwich has agreed to serve as the BSEE Director until a permanent director is selected. Before joining BOEMRE in June 2010, Bromwich served as Inspector General for the Department of Justice from 1994 to 1999. Prior to that, he served as a federal prosecutor in New York and Washington, D.C. He has also spent 18 years in private law practice. Beaudreau currently serves as a Senior Advisor to the BOEMRE Director. Prior to his work at BOEMRE, Beaudreau was a partner at the law firm Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP.


Mesa Energy Holdings announced the appointment of Rachel L. Dillard, CPA, as the new CFO. Dillard began her career in the oil and gas industry in 1996 with CDX Gas, where she served as a consultant to the CEO and CFO, and as an employee in matters of financial analysis, natural gas marketing and balancing, investor relations and payout analysis. Dillard has provided accounting services for Rising Star Energy, Republic Energy, Longview Production and TransAtlantic.


EV has appointed Troy Sutherlin, who has over 18 years’ expertise in wellbore video logging, as its US Land Manager to oversee the new network of operations, while regional managers have been appointed to each of the Oklahoma, Texas and Colorado bases.


OEG Offshore has appointed David Hunter as an Operations Director to lead its A60 module manufacturing division. Hunter will take on the role at OEG’s Kirkton base in Aberdeen and will oversee the design and construction of specialist A60 modules.


Fox Petroleum announced that James R. Renfro has joined the company as its President. Renfro, the owner and managing member of Renfro Energy, has been in the oil business for nearly 30 years, with previous experience at Exxon, Shell Oil, EnCap Investments and Omni Oil and Gas.


MEGlobal has appointed Niklaus Meier, current Controller and head of group control at Ciba in Switzerland, as CFO. Meier succeeds Werner Baur, who is retiring from MEGlobal. Before joining MEGlobal, Meier held a variety of management positions at Ciba.


UTEC Survey has appointed Gordon Lyall as General Manager for the Middle East-Caspian region, based in the UAE. He has over 25 years’ experience in the offshore business, and was most recently a Regional Manager for Hallin Marine.
