T.D. Williamson Inc. announced that Mike Benjamin has joined the company as VP, Offshore Pipeline Solutions, located in Houston. Formerly with Schlumberger, Benjamin has extensive experience in both operations and international sales, particularly in the offshore sector.

Aurelian has named Dr. John Smallwood as Exploration Director. He joins Aurelian after 15 years with Hess Corp., where he served in global exploration and business development areas. Smallwood recently completed a four-year tenure as Exploration Manager in Australia, during which his team made 17 discoveries. He has also had success with Hess in the North Atlantic Margin, Africa and Asia.

Norwegian Energy Company (Noreco) has appointed Ellen Sandra Bratland as its new COO. Bratland has been working for Noreco since 2008, serving as Asset Manager for Noreco’s field developments in Norway and UK. She has previously worked for Shell and Statoil.

CCS Corp. has appointed John Gibson as President and CEO, succeeding founder and Chairman of the Board Dave Werklund. Gibson has more than 25 years of experience in the global energy industry. He has been President of Halliburton Energy Services and, most recently, President and CEO of Paradigm, a software solutions provider to the oil and gas industry.

Curt Watson has joined Mustang, a Wood Group company, as Senior VP, Global Business Development and Marketing. Watson has over 30 years of engineering and construction expertise in the oil, gas and chemicals industries, and most recently served as VP, Projects, in the Oil, Gas and Chemicals Division of URS Corp. (Washington Group).

Peter Zeilinger has been named as the new Managing Director for OMV New Zealand, succeeding Wayne Kirk. Zeilinger has worked with OMV for the past 17 years in a number of countries including Albania, Pakistan and Romania. Since 2007, he has been a Director of Domestic Assets for Exploration and Production at OMV-Petrom, which is the largest oil and gas producer in southeastern Europe.

Anvil International, a manufacturer of pipe fittings, pipe hangers and piping support systems for the oil and gas industry, has promoted Sylvain Perreault to National Sales Manager for Anvil International Canada (AIC). Anvil is a subsidiary of Mueller Water Products Inc. Perreault has been with Anvil for more than 30 years. Most recently, he was Director of Sales for Eastern Canada.

Dmitriy Salop has joined Terra Resources as President. Over the last 15 years, Salop has served as Deputy General Director of Ogo-Profit, as a senior executive at RayzInvest and as General Director of Arco Petroleum.

S. V. Rao, a veteran geologist with ONGC, has been named Director of Exploration, succeeding D. K. Pande, who retired. Rao has almost four decades of experience in exploration and exploitation of oil and gas fields, including exploration, wellsite investigations, and geological and geophysical assessment. He also served as the head of two critical basins, Krishna-Godavari and Western Offshore, for ONGC. Rao also headed the Exploration and Development Directorate, located at Dehra Dun, which serves as the corporate exploration wing of ONGC.

Fortune Oil & Gas has appointed Serge S. Acimovic as the new President and CEO of the company and its new Alta Mining Inc. subsidiary. FOGC announced the finalization of its merger with Alta Mining on March 25.

Wentworth Resources Ltd., an independent East Africa-focused oil and gas company, announced that Richard Schmitt has been appointed as CEO of the company, succeeding Robert McBean, who will continue to serve as Executive Chairman. Schmitt was previously CEO of Afren EAX, the East African subsidiary of Afren plc. Prior to the acquisition of Black Marlin Energy Ltd. by Afren, he was President, CEO and Director of that company. Schmitt is a past President of Africa Oil Corp. and former President and General Manager of Occidental Petroleum in Yemen.

Greene’s Energy Group has named Maury Dumba as VP, Business Development. He will be based in the company’s Houston office. Prior to joining Greene’s Energy Group, Dumba served as CEO and President of Cadre Services Inc. He has also worked for General Electric, Capstone Turbine Co. and Schlumberger.

Apache Corp. announced that Dave Gilbronson and Mark Bright will lead the company’s oil and gas marketing organization, which will be divided along geographic lines. Gilbronson has been appointed VP,  International Marketing, and Bright was named VP, North America Marketing. Gilbronson has served as Director of Risk Management since 2009. Earlier, he was VP, Commercial and Governmental Affairs, in Argentina, Operations General Manager for Apache Egypt Companies, Managing Director of Apache Poland and Director of International Technical Services based in Houston. Bright, the company’s Controller of North America Accounting since 2006, joined Apache in 1999.

American Pollution Control Corp. (AMPOL), an oil spill response and environmental solutions specialist, has hired Alfred Baker to manage its Industrial Services Division. Baker has more than 17 years of experience in industrial, environmental and spill response service. He previously worked in technical sales and operations positions.

Kimberly Byford was named Account Executive at Foster Marketing. She comes to Foster from BrivicMedia, where she was a media buyer managing new and existing accounts from proposal to campaign through analysis. Byford served as an intern with Foster Marketing through the Business Marketing Association of Houston’s 2006 Summer Internship Program.

Chevron Corp. announced that Paul V. Bennett has been named VP and Treasurer. Bennett joined Chevron in 1980 as a Financial Analyst in the Comptroller’s department. In 2009, he assumed his current position as VP, Finance, Downstream and Chemicals.

Desire PLC has appointed Ken Black as Exploration Director. Black is a petroleum geoscientist with 30 years of experience in the oil industry. He has worked for BNOC/Britoil, Clyde Petroleum and Production Geoscience Ltd. (PGL). He was appointed a director at Senergy Holdings Ltd. following the merger with PGL in 2007. In October 2010, he was appointed Exploration Manager for Desire.

BG Group appointed Fabio Barbosa as CFO. He has also been named to the board of directors as an Executive Director. He joined BG Group in December 2010. Until June 2010, he served as CFO of the Brazilian mining company Vale S.A., one of the largest private-sector companies in Latin America.
