Franklin “Paco” McLaughlin has been promoted to General Manager for Knight Manufacturing. He has been with Knight for six years, most recently as Director of Operations for Knight Oil Tools’ Rocky Mountain Region. Also, Michael Pothier has been appointed VP/General Manager of Advanced Safety, the newest member of the Knight family of companies, specializing in custom safety and training programs with an emphasis on oil and gas. Pothier has 12 years of safety consulting experience and more than 30 years of oilfield experience.

ConocoPhillips announced several executive management changes. Alan J. Hirshberg, formerly VP of Worldwide Deepwater and Africa Projects for ExxonMobil, will join the company as Senior VP for Planning and Strategy. Greg C. Garland, formerly President and CEO of Chevron Phillips Chemical Co., will join the company as Senior VP for Exploration and Production, Americas. Jeff W. Sheets, formerly Senior VP for Commercial Planning and Strategy, was elected Senior VP for Finance and CFO. Willie C. W. Chiang, Senior VP for Refining, Marketing and Transportation, was also given responsibility for the company’s commercial business activities. Also, John A. Carrig, the company’s President and COO, will retire in February 2011.

Wison Floating Systems Inc., a subsidiary of Shanghai-based Wison Heavy Industry, announced the appointment of its core management and project execution leadership group. Dwayne Breaux has been named President and CEO. He served most recently as VP of Operations for SBM Atlantia. Pat McCelvey is President of Wison Offshore Leasing. McCelvey previously held the role of VP of Production and Development, for Devon Energy’s International division. Francisco Noyola has been named Executive VP. He has worked in the oil and gas industry for the past 20 years in technical and commercial development of deepwater prospects, and previously led J. Ray McDermott’s SparTEC Inc. Greg Navarre is VP of Projects. He has been in the idustry more than 25 years, and previously held positions at Global Marine Drilling Co. The company also named Robert Bollich as General Counsel, Kent Davies as Technical Director, Phil Hawley as Project Director, and Chris Hutchinson and Phil Winsor as Project Managers.

LUX Assure, a research and development company specializing in chemical monitoring technologies for the oil and gas industry, has appointed Professor Max Rowe as an advisor. Rowe, who is based in Aberdeen, has over 22 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He is also Managing Director of his own consulting company, Selkie Solutions Ltd.

Stewart & Stevenson LLC appointed John B. Simmons as CFO and as a director of the company. Simmons has 30 years of experience in the oil service business. He has served as CFO of Production Operators Inc. and VP/CFO of Cooper Energy Services.

Ecopetrol S.A. appointed Hector Manosalva Rojas as Executive VP of Exploration and Production. He succeeds Nelson Navarrete, who retired from the company. Rojas, who is a petroleum engineer, served most recently as VP of Production.

Endeavour International Corp. announced that it will combine its UK exploration and operations teams into a single operating group. Carl D. Grenz, currently Executive VP of Operations, will assume responsibility for all UK operations as Executive VP, International, and continue to serve on the company’s executive management committee. Jim Munns has been named to the new role of Director of Regulatory Affairs, expanding on his previous responsibilities with the Department of Energy and Climate Change and other regulatory groups relevant to Endeavour’s efforts in the North Sea. Nick Terrell will become Director of Exploration, responsible for the company’s exploration activities in the UK. Cathy L. Stubbs has been promoted to Senior VP of Finance.

Aker Solutions has appointed Per Harald Kongelf as Executive VP for the Energy Development and Services business area. He was previously Executive VP for Products and Technologies, and replaces Jarle Tautra, who will continue to work for the company as a special advisor to the CEO. Tore Sjursen will become part of the executive management team with the Modifications and Operations business in the North Sea region.

InterMoor, an Acteon company, has named Joe Hebert as Operations Manager. He has more than 20 years of oil and gas experience working at the company. Hebert has served previously as Supervisor, Marine Specialist and Assistant Operations Manager.

TAM International Inc. announced that Mike Machowski has joined the company as Director of its Canadian operations. He is based in the Calgary office. Before joining TAM, he worked for Smith International, most recently as Regional Manager in Canada.

Branko Terzic has been named the Executive Director of the Deloitte Center for Energy Solutions. Terzic, who has served for more than a decade as the regulatory policy leader in Deloitte’s Energy & Resources industry group, will continue in that role in addition to his new responsibilities.
