Richard Hancock and Jim Reynolds  have partnered in a new venture, Safety Savings and Environmental, which will be the exclusive worldwide distributor of Statoil’s Multi-Dope. Hancock is CEO of ODS, and Reynolds is a long-time industry entrepreneur. Multi-Dope can replace most platform grease products.

Miller Petroleum Inc. has appointed Ford F. Graham as President of the company and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors. Graham, a Managing Partner of Vulcan Capital and the Vulcan Partners family of private equity funds and companies, has over 25 years experience as a private equity investor and an investment banker in the energy and natural resources sectors.

Atwood Oceanics Inc. elected Robert J. Saltiel as President and CEO. He has over 20 years of experience in the energy industry, most recently as Executive VP and COO of Transocean.

Acorn Energy Inc., an energy technology holding company, announced that Edgar S. Woolard, Jr., will serve as Senior Advisor to the company. Woolard was Chairman and CEO of DuPont from 1989 to 1995. While Chairman of Conoco, he led its IPO and initiated the company’s merger with Phillips Petroleum. He also served as a director of Apple Computer Inc. and was instrumental in the return of CEO Steve Jobs.

UTEC Survey has appointed Colin Erskine to the position of Sales Manager for UTEC Survey Construction Services Ltd, located in Aberdeen, Scotland. Erskine has spent over 25 years in the offshore survey industry, most recently as Director of Sales for Ashtead Technology.

Jerry Shea has been named President of The Bayou Companies (TBC), and Joey Zagar has been promoted to VP-General Manager in charge of TBC’s New Iberia business unit. Also, Joey Leblanc will expand his role as Bayou’s Director of Operations to oversee IT and procurement activities for New Iberia. Patrick Shea has been named the Director of Business Development, and will be based in Houston.

Endeavour International Corp. has named James J. Emme as Executive VP,  North America. He will be based in Denver, Colorado. Emme spent more than 20 years with Anadarko Petroleum as VP of Exploration and Business Development and headed the company’s Canadian operations. Most recently, he served as Senior VP of Exploration for Max Petroleum, and was President and COO for Elk Resources.

Apache Corp. named David French as VP, Business Development. French, currently Region Production Manager, West, for Apache Canada, joined the company in 2005. Prior to that, he was an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Co. and held planning and operations engineering roles at Amoco.

Integrated energy investment bank Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co. Securities Inc. announced that John G. Kennedy III has joined the firm as Managing Director and Head of Capital Markets. Previously, he worked with Deutsche Bank in its Equity Capital Markets Group in New York. Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co. is headquartered in Houston.

Eric Spiegel will head Siemens Corp., the regional US arm of Germany-based Siemens AG. Spiegel, a US citizen, was a Senior Partner at Booz & Company, where he was employed since 1986. He brings more than 25 years of experience in the energy, manufacturing and utility industries.

Environmental Drilling Solutions LLC (EDS), a specialist in zero-discharge rig-site solutions, has named Adam Broussard Area Manager for North Louisiana and East Texas. EDS is a subsidiary of Wellbore Energy Solutions LLC. Previously, Broussard worked for Baker Hughes Drilling Fluids as Eastern Area Operations Manager. 

Superior Well Services Inc. has appointed Michael Seyman as VP of Operations. He has been with Superior for seven years and served as the company’s Technical Manager, Rocky Mountain Region Manager and, most recently, Director of Technology. He has over 30 years of oilfield experience.

ESR Technology, an engineering, safety and risk management consultancy, has appointed Dr. John Evans as General Manager of its Aberdeen operations. He has almost 20 years of safety and risk management experience, most recently with Germanischer Lloyd, where he worked as a Principal Consultant. Prior to this, he spent 15 years with Advantica in consultancy and management roles.

Ward Williston Oil Co. has promoted Nathan Conway to COO. He joined the company in 2001, and served most recently as Corporate Development Manager. Ward Williston is a Michigan-based oil company with primary operations in North Dakota and Michigan.

Mark D. Kalman has joined DeepFlex as VP of Engineering. He has over 30 years of extensive technical experience in the upstream oil and gas industry. Kalman was Halliburton’s intellectual property manager, coordinating the activities of product line management, intellectual property attorneys, and technology resources to develop intellectual property for its Completions and Production Division.
