InterAct PMTI has named Brent Boudreaux as director of Marine Operations. InterACT PMTI, formerly Pacific Management Technologies Inc., was acquired by Acteon in June. Boudreaux has more than 15 years of oil and gas experience, primarily in marine construction/decommissioning. He was previously general manager of TETRA Applied Technologies’ heavy lift decommissioning division. The East of England Energy Group’s John Best was presented with the Individual Contribution Award by the trade association Forum London for his role as chief executive of the Great Yarmouth-based energy group. Six years ago Best established EEEGR, whose members range from the oil industry to wind power and from multi-nationals to local suppliers. Pål Helsing was appointed executive VP for Aker Kvaerner’s Business Area Field Development, succeeding Simen Lieungh. Helsing comes from Subsea, one of Aker Kvaerner’s five business areas, where he was senior VP for Subsea Systems.

Wil Christensen has joined Swagelok Co. as VP, continuous improvement and quality. He was most recently employed as vice president, global quality and continuous improvement, at Moen Inc.

Riverstone Holdings LLC, a $9 billion private investment firm specializing in the energy industry, announced that Elizabeth K. Weymouth has joined the firm as managing director. Weymouth joined Riverstone from JPMorgan Private Bank, where she most recently served as managing director and head of investment business in the US Northeast.

Knight Well Services, a division of Knight Oil Tools, named Rene Bergeron as project engineering manager. He will oversee all plug and abandonment projects while based at Knight’s corporate facility in Broussard, La. Bergeron has more than 35 years of experience in new business development and sales for the oil and gas industry in the Gulf Coast. The company also named Terry Oliver as a corporate account representative. Oliver has more than 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.

Knight Fishing Services, another division of Knight Oil Tools, named Henry J. Theriot, Sr., as technical support manager. Theriot has more than 37 years of experience within the fishing tool industry. The division also named Mike Foster as Mid-Continent Regional Manager. Foster, who will be based at Knight’s Houston facility, has more than 27 years of management experience within the oil industry.

Krista H. Kuhl joined the staff of World Oil in July 2007. In her new position as technical editor, she will be maintaining the monthly “Industry at a Glance” section, coordinating statistical content used to support the annual and mid-year drilling forecasts, organizing data for targeted supplements throughout the year, and writing and editing technical articles for the magazine. Kuhl earned a BA degree in English from the University of Houston, with coursework in chemical engineering.

Michael Salinger, most recently the chief economist at the Federal Trade Commission, has joined the global economic advisory and expert services firm LECG as a director in the firm’s Cambridge, Mass., office. Salinger was the public face of the FTC during his two-year appointment as director of the Bureau of Economics, where he helped lead an investigation into gasoline price gouging after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Walsall, UK-based Hydratight appointed Phil Maxted as its global business leader. Hydratight provides specialized large-diameter bolt tightening, tooling and services to the oil and gas and other industries. Maxted has been with Hydratight 23 years, most recently as head of the company’s Eastern Hemisphere business.

The Newfoundland Ocean Industries Association (NOIA) has appointed Robert Cadigan as president and CEO. Cadigan is an experienced executive who has contributed to a number of Newfoundland and Labrador-based corporations.

Baseline Oil & Gas Corp. appointed Patrick H. McGarey as its CFO. McGarey has over 27 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Most recently, he served as executive VP, Finance, Planning and Corporate Development for Goldking Energy Corp., based in Houston. Goldking was sold earlier this year to Dune Energy, Inc., for $328.5 million.
