C&C Reservoirs announced the addition of Dr. Robert Trice, an expert in carbonate and fractured reservoirs, to its team of reservoir specialists. Working in the London office, Trice will be responsible for leading the development of E&P solutions services on carbonate and fractured reservoirs. Trice has over 20 years of industry experience with independent and major oil companies, including Shell and Enterprise.

C&C Reservoirs announced the addition of Dr. Robert Trice, an expert in carbonate and fractured reservoirs, to its team of reservoir specialists. Working in the London office, Trice will be responsible for leading the development of E&P solutions services on carbonate and fractured reservoirs. Trice has over 20 years of industry experience with independent and major oil companies, including Shell and Enterprise. 

Phil Longorio was named CEO of WellDynamics BV, formed in 2001 as a 50-50 joint venture between Halliburton's Energy Services Group and Shell Technology Ventures. Previously, Longorio, was VP of Sperry-Sun, one of Halliburton's product service lines, where he was responsible for general management activities in borehole construction, formation evaluation, wellbore positioning and reservoir drainage. 

Bob Joyce has joined MicroTesla as director of business development, based in Houston. He brings 24 years of MWD/LWD and wireline management experience with Schlumberger, Baker Hughes and Tucker Energy Services. MicroTesla provides design and manufacturing, along with repair and maintenance of MWD and wireline directional instrumentation, to the oilfield and related markets. 

Iain MacLennan was appointed business development manager for the Continental Europe-Northern Africa Region for BJ Process and Pipeline Services. He will be based in Great Yarmouth. 

Unocal Corp. named Joseph H. Bryant as president and COO. He has been president of BP Angola since 2000, and previously was president of BP Canada and an Amoco joint venture in China. He also has held leadership roles for Amoco business units in the Netherlands and the Gulf of Mexico and numerous engineering, financial and operational assignments throughout the US. Unocal's president and COO post became vacant earlier this year when Timothy H. Ling died unexpectedly. 

Kerr-McGee Corp. named the management team that will lead its oil and gas exploration and production following the merger with Westport Resources Corp. Led by Dave Hager, Kerr-McGee senior VP responsible for oil and gas exploration and production, the team includes Darrell Hollek, VP of US onshore exploration, production and development; Chuck Meloy, VP of Gulf of Mexico exploration, production and development; Terence Jupp, VP and managing director of UK operations; and Tim Martin, VP of international and new venture exploration and development. 

Chuck Hauf has been appointed the new president of Challenger Minerals Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of GlobalSantaFe. Hauf has been with CMI since 1995 and recently served as VP and general manager. He has extensive experience in US and international exploration, field development and business development ventures. 

Workstrings LLC, a Superior Energy Services company, named two new general managers. Ray Dixon was named VP  –  Operations and General Manager of the company's Superior Inspection Services division, and Cornado Rubio is the new general manager of the Latin and South America division. Dixon, with more than 30 years of industry experience, was most recently general manager of Pinnacle Oilfield Services, Inc. Rubio has more than 12 years of experience in the drill pipe manufacturing industry after positions as quality control supervisor and international service representative at Grant Prideco.

ALTRA Energy Ltd, based in Albyn Terrace, appointed David Brown and Graham Gaffney as senior process engineers, bringing ALTRA's workforce up to 20 – double the number employed nine months ago. Brown, a chartered engineer and a member of the Institute of Chemical Engineers and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, joins the company with more than nine years of experience, having worked on major projects throughout the world for BP, ChevronTexaco, Talisman Energy and Shell. Gaffney is an associate member of the Institute of Chemical Engineers with seven years of experience. He has worked on international projects for Britannia Operators, ExxonMobil and ConocoPhillips. 

Transmeridian Exploration, Inc., appointed Earl W. McNiel as VP and CFO. He brings extensive financial experience, having served as VP and CFO of Pride International, Inc. McNiel has 24 years of experience with public companies, primarily in the energy industry. Before joining Pride, he served as manager, finance, with ENSCO International, Inc.

John Weigant joined Geotrace as Depth Migration manager. He worked for Amerada Hess as a geophysicist for over 12 years, and was instrumental in the development of their in-house depth imaging program. More recently, Weigant spent three years at NuTec, where he served as VP of Supercomputing Services and VP of Operations. Also, Deborah Walker joined Geotrace as controller, based in Houston. Previously, she spent 12 years with Western Geophysical/ WesternGeco.
