Heat exchangers/separator services

A four-page brochure from Alfa Laval describes the firm’s services, aimed at keeping heat exchangers and separators operating at peak performance. Service on decanter centrifuges is also available. The brochure is entitled, Alfa Laval Parts & Service.

Spoolable Carbon Composite

L. J. Star has published a bulletin that describes its patented Ilmadur product line of replacement gage glass and accessories. The bulletin provides specs, size ranges of 1 through 9, transparent or reflex style options, and high or low-temperature service. All products are made of top-quality, borosilicate glass, manufactured to MIL-G-16356-D standards.

Monitor/transmitter

A four-page, full-color brochure describes Control Instruments’ SmartMax II. This stand-alone digital control monitor continuously detects the readings of up to four same-type sensors. It works with a wide range of sensors for every application, including combustible and/or toxic gases, hydrocarbons and oxygen. It can reduce gas detection cost, by as much as 50%, by lowering the amount of equipment to install and maintain. The system comes equipped with a 4-to-20-mA analog output, an RS-485 serial port and three on-board, programmable relays.

HVAC, pump and chiller

Yaskawa’s brochure outlines the design features and application benefits of the GPD 506/P5 AC drive. The product’s variable-frequency drive is designed for requirement-specific applications. Application-specific benefits, such as quiet operation, "install-and-forget" reliability, significant power cost savings, interruption elimination, improved power quality and lower initial cost are also explained and illustrated.

Liquid ring pumps, systems

The Atlantic Fluidics, 16-page catalog describes the Tuthill Vacuum System’s expanded line of liquid ring pumps and systems. It contains performance curves, describes principles of operation and outlines examples of pump applications. Separate sections highlighting other systems are also included. Most Atlantic Fluidics liquid ring pumps operate with the Fluid-Vac axial flow design. Although compact, it generates a significantly high vacuum.

Valves

Cyclonic Valve has published a brochure on its line of control, ball and check valves. The literature describes the valves’ high performance, their custom-built specs and competitive pricing. They are available in 1 in. to 4 in., with pressures up to 5,000 psi. They have up to 40% higher flow rates, and 100% testing.
