JDR Cables Systems appointed Oscar Eide as general manager for its Norwegian subsidiary, based on Bergen.

Mark J. Ichara joined Ryder Scott primarily to conduct reservoir simulation modeling, but also to perform pressure transient test analysis. Joe Magoto, Larry Nelms, Guale Ramirez, Fred Richoux, Ron Rhodes and Fred Ziehe were promoted from senior VP to managing senior VP. Dean Rietz was promoted from VP to managing senior VP.

Assure Energy Inc. appointed Suzanne West president, CEO and a director of the company.

Hector Enriquez became director of Chet Morrison Contractors, Inc.'s new operations in Veracruz, Mexico. Chet Morrison Contractors, S. de R. L. de C.V. provides fabrication, field construction and contract labor services to both U.S. and Mexican companies working in Veracruz and other Mexican areas including both inland and Gulf of Mexico.

Noble Denton Holding Ltd. appointed Teck Soon Kong as non-executive chairman.

David Wilkins joined Beta Oil & Gas as president and CEO.

Edward A. Levy, CEO and director, Kerry Smith, COO resigned from Matrix Energy. Both will remain with the company on a temporary basis under previous consulting agreements.

Douglas C. Nester joined Houston-based F-W Oil Exploration LLC as senior VP of operations.

R&M Energy Systems appointed Michael D. Hambly to managing director, R&M Energy Systems Canada. Gene Sparkman was appointed to the newly created position of general manager – Eastern Hemisphere. He will manage its European operations.

Larry Funkhouser, Ronald L. Geer, Arthur L. Guy, Jr., Captain William D. Noble, and James C. Storm were inducted into the Offshore Energy Center’s Hall of Fame. The 2002 Pinnacle Award recipient was Robert J. Allison, Jr., chairman of Anadarko Petroleum Corp. Noble Energy Chairman Charles D. Davidson spear headed the black tie, dinner / dance held on Sept. 21.
