(WO) — Velesto Energy Berhad, through its subsidiary Velesto Drilling Sdn. Bhd., has received three awards at the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) Southeast Asia Chapter Safety Awards, recognizing its offshore safety performance.

The company retained the Best Recordable Incident Rate for Offshore award, while its NAGA 6 jack-up rig received the Number of Years Recordable Incident Free award—both for the third consecutive year. Velesto also secured second place in the Best Safety Initiative category.

The awards reflect the company’s ongoing focus on strengthening safety performance across its offshore drilling operations.

“Being recognized for three consecutive years reflects a safety culture that has taken root across the group,” said Megat Zariman Abdul Rahim, president of Velesto. “That culture underpins the service quality and performance our clients rely on.”

The IADC Southeast Asia Chapter Safety Awards are held annually to recognize safety performance and initiatives across the region’s offshore drilling sector.

Velesto Energy operates a fleet of six jack-up drilling rigs and two hydraulic workover units, with operations across Malaysia and other Southeast Asian markets, including Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines and Thailand.
