i2k Connect wins OTC Spotlight award for EnRG-LLM AI model for upstream workflows
(WO) — i2k Connect has introduced enhancements to its EnRG-LLM model, an energy-domain large language model developed for the oil and gas sector, following its recognition with a Spotlight on New Technology Award at the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) 2026.
The model, developed for the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and available for licensing, will be demonstrated at OTC, where the company plans to highlight applications across upstream workflows.
The EnRG-LLM model is designed to help operators and service companies analyze unstructured technical data, including reports, well files, logs and engineering documents. The platform integrates search, summarization and query-based tools to support data-driven decision-making across geoscience, drilling, production and HSE functions.
According to the company, the system enables users to query internal datasets using natural language and retrieve context-specific insights, reducing time spent on manual data review.
“The platform is designed to make technical knowledge more accessible to engineers and geoscientists by allowing them to interact with data in a more intuitive way,” said John Boden, CEO of i2k Connect.
The model is trained on industry-specific datasets, including a large library of technical papers from SEG and SPE, to support domain-relevant outputs.
i2k Connect said it will provide live demonstrations of the technology at OTC 2026 in Houston.
