Aberdeen STEM roadshow links students with oil, gas and energy sector employers
(WO) — AFBE-UK will host a career roadshow in Aberdeen aimed at connecting STEM students and early-career professionals with employers across the energy and engineering sectors.
The event will bring together companies including Serica Energy, EnQuest, Subsea7, SLB, Amentum and The Data Lab, with additional participants expected.
The roadshow is designed to provide insight into recruitment processes, in-demand skills and career pathways, with opportunities for attendees to engage directly with hiring managers and industry representatives.
Participants will be able to explore graduate programs, internships and entry-level roles across oil and gas, energy and related technology sectors.
“There is strong appetite among employers to engage with emerging talent,” said Lloyd Russell, event coordinator at AFBE-UK Scotland. “This event provides an opportunity for direct interaction and guidance on how candidates can position themselves for roles in the sector.”
AFBE-UK, a not-for-profit organization focused on increasing diversity within engineering and STEM industries, has hosted more than 100 events in Aberdeen.
The event will take place from March 4 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the University of Aberdeen’s Sir Duncan Rice Library.
