The Four Types of Threat Detection

July 31, 2018
Sponsored by: Dragos
Threat detection is one of three core cybersecurity functions, along with prevention and response; it can help avoid significant environmental and financial impacts to organizations, loss of safety, and inappropriate response plans. This paper discusses the four types of threat detection and offers sample use-cases focused on industrial control system (ICS) and industrial internet of things (IIoT) environments.

Oil production in the Permian Basin is booming and the demand for pipeline infrastructure to accommodate necessary takeaway capacity is growing. As production surges in the region, midstream companies are rushing to build pipelines to debottleneck capacity constraints and move supply to US Gulf Coast markets. Download this whitepaper to learn more about the developing pipeline infrastructure in the Permian Basin that will provide sufficient takeaway capacity to keep pace with production growth.

Delivering Closed-Loop Operations to Reduce Production Costs in Oil and Gas Fields

July 19, 2018
Sponsored by: AVEVA
Oil and gas companies have been generating huge amounts of data for several decades, long before the term IIoT was coined. Recent improvement in cloud, analytics and computing technology has enabled the transformation of data into insights to provide meaningful decision support to operational teams, enabling them to gain the next level of operational efficiencies. Read how the closed-loop framework help unlock values from big data and analytics – from producing wells to surface facilities- to achieve greater profitability.

The Great Data Transformation: How Shell, Transocean and SBM Offshore are Capitalizing on Digitalization

July 18, 2018
Sponsored by: Osisoft
As the oil and gas industry becomes increasingly digitized, torrents of data are being unleashed that can all too easily overwhelm companies. Read this article to find out how some of the Industry's giants are capitalizing on digitalization and leveraging the power of real-time operational data. Millions $ saved, 40% reduction in non-productive drilling time and condition-based maintenance are only some of the topics covered in this white paper.

Advanced Sucker Rod Coupling Material Optimizes Efficiency and Oil Productivity

July 18, 2018
Sponsored by: Materion
Since 2016, 28 operators have installed sucker rod couplings made of ToughMet® 3 TS95 in more than 900 oil wells located in the Bakken and Permian Basin to mitigate failures caused by coupling-on-tubing wear. In addition to fewer costly workovers, engineers monitoring these wells reported unanticipated performance and well efficiency improvements. To quantify the additional benefits, several operators ran field trials specifically to assess the improvements in well performance after the installation of ToughMet couplings.
