Technip awarded Gulf of Mexico umbilical contract

HOUSTON -- Technip Umbilicals, a wholly owned subsidiary of Technip, has been awarded a contract by a major operator to supply a subsea control umbilical for the Gulf of Mexico.

According to the contract, Technip will manufacture several kilometers of static and dynamic unarmored steel tube umbilical.

Technip Umbilicals' facility in Houston will manufacture the umbilical for a high pressure field. It is scheduled to be completed in 2017.
