Mustang, a Wood Group company, has appointed two new regional directors. Gordon Stirling has been named Regional Director for Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, India and Russia. Chet Nelson was named Regional Director for Asia-Pacific. Stirling currently has management responsibility for Mustang’s upstream operations in London, which serves as a company-wide hub for the Europe, North Africa and Middle East regions. Nelson served for three years as Operations Manager of Mustang’s Australian operations based in Perth. The company’s Asia-Pacific operations are based in Kuala Lumpur.

Knight Well Services has named Don Parks as Engineering Manager. He will oversee the company’s plug and abandonment activities and will be actively involved in submitting bid proposals for the company. Parks has more than 33 years of experience as a Production Engineer, working in both onshore and offshore fields. He will be based out of Knight’s Houston location.

Emily Farquhar, who has more than 30 years of geophysics experience, has been named President of Fugro Gravity & Magnetic Services. Farquhar has been with Fugro for more than a decade, most recently as the Houston representative for Fugro Electro Magnetic. Previously, she served nine years as a manager with Fugro Airborne Surveys in Mississauga, Ontario.

W&T Offshore Inc. has appointed Jesus G. Melendrez as Senior VP and Chief Commercial Officer. From 2003 to 2010,  Melendrez worked at Mariner Energy Inc. in a variety of positions, culminating as Senior VP and Chief Commercial Officer and acting CFO and Treasurer.

Kirk Mikulec has joined Baumer Ltd. as the company’s Industry Segment Sales Manager for the oil and gas industry. Mikulec has more than 20 years of experience in the automation, controls, motion and electronic components field.  For the last 10 years he served as Regional Sales Manager for BEI Industrial Encoders.

Lucy Plant has been named International Marketing Manager at Fugro Multi Client Services. Plant comes to the division from Fugro Robertson, where she was Business Development Manager for the Americas for the past three years.

ABS announced a number of management changes. Todd Grove was appointed Chief Technology Officer. Grove, a 28-year veteran of ABS, has served as President and COO of three ABS operating divisions—Europe, Pacific and Americas. John McDonald, currently Regional VP, Northern Europe and Africa, will succeed Grove as President and COO of the ABS Europe Division. McDonald has been with ABS for more than 14 years and has held several leadership positions including District Manager for the US Central District and Assistant Chief Surveyor for Naval Programs. John Gallagher, currently Regional VP, North America, will transfer to London and assume the position of Regional VP, Northern Europe. Gallagher, a 30-year veteran of ABS, has served in various leadership roles including Eastern District Manager, US and Canada, and Principal Surveyor for the Great Lakes. Thomas Blenk, currently VP of Global Operations, ABS Nautical Systems (NS) division, will transfer to New York City and replace Gallagher as Regional VP, North America. Blenk, a 13-year veteran, has held several operating assignments including Country Manager of Dubai and Principal Surveyor in Korea.

Northern Offshore Ltd. announced that Gary L. Bauer has joined the company as Senior VP, Operations. Bauer has more than 35 years of experience in the drilling industry, most recently in the position of Division Manager, Egypt and Middle East, for Transocean.

Leah Martinez has been named Public Relations Account Executive at Foster Marketing. She will manage the agency’s public relations planning and writing, crisis communication and media relations. She is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a BS degree in agricultural communications and journalism and a master’s degree in agricultural business.

Subsea technology company MCS Kenny, part of Wood Group Kenny, has appointed Steven Bernard as VP of Riser Delivery. He has more than 30 years of expertise in the drilling and subsea engineering and operations aspects of the offshore industry, including deepwater projects offshore West Africa, in the Gulf of Mexico and in the North Sea.

Murchison Drilling Schools has hired Tim Arnold as an Instructor. He is retiring from Marathon Oil Co. after 30 years in operations and engineering. Arnold has a petroleum engineering degree from the Colorado School of Mines. His experience includes planning and supervising a wide range of onshore and offshore projects.
