MCS Inc. and J P Kenny, both part of international energy services company John Wood Group PLC, have amalgamated MCS’s Houston operations with J P Kenny’s engineering team to form a new subsea technology business under the MCS name. Dr. Paul Jukes, currently J P Kenny’s Advanced Engineering Manager, was appointed President of MCS Inc., replacing Kieran Kavanagh, who will be moving to a new position as Technology Director for SPTG in Galway, Ireland.

T&T Bisso, a stand-alone response contractor serving the offshore energy and maritime industries, announced the addition of DeeAnn McMillen to its Oil Pollution Act of 1990 (OPA 90) management team. She has over 19 years of experience with regulatory compliance, the first nine years focusing on vessel emergency response services, OPA 90 and state regulatory compliance.

Varel International announced the appointment of John Capasso as the company’s new CFO. He will be responsible for global finance and information technology for Varel, and for human resources in North America. With over 20 years of operating experience, Capasso joins Varel from Formed Fiber Technologies, where he served as CFO.

Karl Erik Kjelstad has been appointed Executive VP and member of the executive management team for Aker Solutions. Kjelstad will lead the development of the strategic initiative related to oilfield services and the company’s fleet of marine vessels.

DeepFlex Inc., manufacturer of flexible, unbonded, non-metallic composite pipe for deepwater and ultra-deepwater oil and gas production, announced the appointment of Michael Molek as Global Director of Projects. Molek brings over eight years of experience from FMC, where he served as Project Manager of the Shell Subsea Alliance, Supplier Development Engineering Manager and Norway Interface Controls Manager.

Cameron named H. Keith Jennings as VP and Treasurer. He previously served as Corporate Treasurer for Alghanim Industries, a privately owned, Kuwait-based conglomerate encompassing more than 30 businesses. Before that, he served in a variety of treasury- and finance-related roles with PepsiCo Inc. and Ingersoll-Rand Corp.

Global offshore engineering and marine services company Noble Denton has appointed Ian Bonnon as Group Managing Director, Renewables. Over the last 10 years, Bonnon has led the development of the UK renewables business within Noble Denton.

Fugro Gravity & Magnetic Services, the business development arm of Fugro Airborne Surveys and Fugro Ground Geophysics, has named Terry Crabb as Business Development Manager for the Australia/Asia  region. He will be based in Perth, Australia. Crabb has more than 30 years of geoscience experience in both business and government, having served as Chief Geophysicist at Scintrex in Canada and as CEO of Australian Geophysical Surveys in Perth.

Gray Wireline Service Inc., subsidiary of Gray Energy Services LLC, appointed Mark Harris as President and CEO. He succeeds interim CEO Jim Meneely, who remains with the company as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Knight Oil Tools named Diana Gary to the position of Special Projects Manager for Accounting and Finance. Gary has over 20 years of public accounting experience in various disciplines, with a concentration in the oil and gas industry.

Smith International has appointed Jonathan Thiele to the position of VP and General Manager of Dyna-Drill Technologies, a Business Unit of Smith Technologies. He has been with Smith for over nine years, most recently as VP-Manufacturing for Smith Bits.

P2 Energy Solutions, a provider of business software, map data and enterprise services to the oil and gas industry, announced that Diana Lovshe has been appointed Director of Marketing. Lovshe has over 20 years of marketing and communications experience in the oil and gas industry. She was most recently employed with Halliburton as a Manager in the Corporate Marketing group, and held several roles at Landmark Graphics.

Independent oilfield services company TAM International Inc. announced that John Robinson has joined the company in the newly created position of Director of Manufacturing. He has over 30 years of experience in management positions within the oilfield services industry. Robinson was VP Manufacturing for Total Energy Services, and was Plant Manager at Baker Oil Tools for over nine years.

McDowell named Sales Manager
Gulf Publishing Company announced that Andy McDowell has been promoted to Sales Manager of World Oil. He joined World Oil in November 2005, and has been responsible for advertising sales for the western US and Canada as well as the southeastern US. In addition to print advertising, McDowell will also be responsible for World Oil’s online advertising sales.
