It is the only tong designed to ride the jack. No tong pole, and no pushing or pulling of the tong on and off the pipe is necessary.

Rogers can provide different models to suit the need, either slip or jack-mounted for hands-free operation can be used. The company claims that this is the fastest and safest way to trip pipe with a snubbing unit.

Model 3.5 RST produces up to 10,000 ft-lb of torque and features a 7-1/16-in. bore. Its all-hydraulic system can operate on 1-1/4-in. to 31D2-in. pipe and features a remote valving system. The unit weighs 1,500 lb.
