Nuevo Energy Co. named James L. Payne chairman, president and CEO. Phillip A. Globe interim president and CEO will resume his former position as COO.

Aberdeen-based Lawrence Watt now has responsibility for Oceaneering International SMART technology and products within the Eastern Hemisphere.

Lukens Energy Group, Inc., appointed Fred D. Hagemeyer as VP.

Abraxas Petroleum promoted Vince Tkachyk to executive VP and COO of Grey Wolf. Robert Johnson was named as exploration VP for Grey Wolf.

Ken Eichelmann joined Scott Specialty Gases as product manager for SCOTTY Transportable Products.

Unocal Corp. elected Charles R. Williamson chairman, in addition to his role as CEO.

Institut Francais de Pétrol (IFP) reorganized its general management to include Chairman Claude Mandil and three senior VPs.

Brad Adkins joined MODEC International LLC as sales director. Oise Ihonde joined as sales and marketing manager for West Africa.

Hoerbiger Corp. of America, Inc. named Scot Jenkins marketing and new business development manager.

BJ Pipeline Inspection Services appointed Andrew Staszewski marketing and sales manager in charge of international business development.

Shell International Ltd. appointed Mary Jo Jacobi external affairs VP.

H. L. Gruy and Associates, Inc., elected Sylvia Castilleja VP.

CMS Energy Corp. elected David W. Joos as president, COO and board member.

NACE International board of directors named Jeff Littleton executive director. He will also serve as an ex officio member of the NACE board of directors.

Santa Fe’s president and CEO, C. Stedman Garber, Jr., will serve as 2002 chairman of the International Association of Drilling Contractors. Lawrence R. Dickerson, Diamond Offshore Drilling Inc. was elected vice chairman, and Marion M. Woole, Global Marine Drilling president, was chosen secretary-treasurer.

Gas Technology Institute named Albert Sherman commercialization and investment division VP, responsible for leading programs aimed at managing GTI’s intellectual property, commercializing technology it develops, and representing the institute’s interests in various business arrangements.

Betty Anthony was named general manager of the American Petroleum Institute, upstream segment.

Superior Energy Services promoted Huey Kliebert to bundled services manager for Well Intervention Group. Louis Boutte and Greg McCormack were selected to serve as Louisiana and Texas sales managers, respectively. Larry Kirspel was promoted to engineering manager. Mike Cashman became coiled tubing division manager.

Larry D. Vandendriessche was named marketing director of Swagelok. Michael R. Butkovic was named product and market development director.

Rob Hathaway, regional account manager, will head TOBIN International, Ltd.’s new office in Seattle, Washington.

David O. Riddle was appointed southeastern U.S. region sales manager at Delta Computer Systems.

John R. (Randy) Burkhalter joined Parker Drilling Co. as investor relations director.

Louis F. Crane stepped down from his position as chairman of the board and CEO of Offshore Logistics, Inc. Kenneth M. Jones will serve as chairman.

Global Industries, Ltd., appointed James F. Gallagher and Richard D. Porter as area vice presidents of West Africa and Middle East/India, respectively.

David Tuer resigned his position of president, CEO and director of Pan Canadian Energy Corp. David O’Brien will act as CEO, and Michael Grandin will act as president.

Foster Wheeler Ltd. named Raymond J. Milchovich president, CEO and chairman.

Grant Prideco, Inc., appointed Curtis D. Burton as president, Grant Prideco Marine Products and Services Division. Dan M. Latham became president of its Drill Stem Products Division. Marshall E. Danby is now president of Premium Connections and Tubular Products. William G. Chunn became corporate executive VP, with global responsibility for product engineering, research and development, manufacturing, capital project development and implementation, supply chain management, quality and health.

Paul D. Miller joined Paragon Engineering Services, Inc., as manager of subsea engineering, responsible for enhancing the firm’s deepwater development expertise.

Hervé Le Bouc will now serve as chairman of Bouygues Offshore and electrical contracting and networks subsidiary ETDE. Jacques Léost became CEO of Bouygues Offshore.

Sonsub Inc. promoted David Sheetz to operations VP, responsible for execution of its offshore projects, a duty made more complex by its expansion into more complex and comprehensive subsea construction contracting, including the management of long-term vessel charters.

Mark Owen joined Griffin Petroleum Co. in Midland, Texas, as exploration/development geologist. He will be responsible for generating exploration and development prospects primarily in the Permian basin area of West Texas and New Mexico, in addition to assisting Griffin’s continuing producing property acquisition efforts.
