KrisEnergy announces appointment of new CEO


SINGAPORE -- KrisEnergy Ltd., an independent upstream oil and gas company, announces that Kelvin Tang, Chief Operating Officer (COO) and president of the Company’s Cambodian operations, has been appointed CEO with effect from Sept. 1, 2017. Jeffrey S. MacDonald has resigned from the interim CEO and board executive director positions effective Aug. 31, 2017.

Tan Ek Kia, KrisEnergy’s non-executive chairman, commented: “The board of directors welcomes Kelvin in his new role. Kelvin has been an instrumental member of senior management since KrisEnergy was established in 2009 and led our negotiations with the Cambodian government regarding the Block A petroleum agreement, which was signed on Aug. 23, 2017. The Block A agreement is significant for Cambodia and for KrisEnergy.

“The board would like to thank Jeff for his contribution as interim CEO since July 2016, and as a director on the KrisEnergy board since establishment. We wish him success in his future endeavours.”

Kelvin has been working in the upstream oil and gas industry since 2005 when he joined Pearl Energy Ltd. as general counsel and company secretary.
