Hunting announces appointment of new CEO


HOUSTON -- Hunting is pleased to announce the promotion of Arthur James (Jim) Johnson as CEO with effect from Sept. 1, 2017. Jim will succeed Dennis Proctor, who will retire as CEO and as a director of Hunting on the same date.

Johnson joined Hunting in 1992 and is currently the group’s chief operating officer, a role which he has occupied since 2011. As part of his responsibilities, he has managed the day-to-day running of Hunting’s global operations, with regional managers in Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East and North America reporting directly to him on all matters.

Johnson has held a number of senior positions within Hunting and between 2000 to 2011 he held the position of managing director of U.S. operations. During this time, he was instrumental in the development of Hunting’s product offering and service capabilities. He will be based in Houston, Texas.
