Matt Amilian has been appointed director of business development at BCCK Holding Company.

Matt Amilian has been appointed director of business development at BCCK Holding Company. Based in Edmond, Okla., Amilian will help support company expansion in the Oklahoma, Appalachian and Rocky Mountain regions. He joins the firm from Condit Company, where he was gas processing market manager.

Roy Franklin will join Premier’s board as non-executive chairman. He succeeds Mike Welton, who has announced his plans to step down after eight years of service. Franklin brings more than 40 years of experience as an executive to his new role. He has held positions with companies including BP, Paladin Resources, Statoil and Santos. In addition to Franklin’s appointment, Dave Blackwood and Mike Wheeler will join the company’s board as non-executive directors. These appointments reportedly follow the retirements of Joe Darby and David Lindsell. Blackwood also brings more than 40 years of industry experience to his new role, 27 of which were spent at BP. Wheeler also has senior leadership experience with businesses in a number of sectors.

PFERD Inc. has appointed Michael Roche to account manager of its pipeline market. In his new role, Roche will develop relationships with pipeline customers in the U.S., as well as in Canada. Previously, Roche served as product manager for PSS Companies in Houston. Prior to that, he was manager of pipeline markets for PFERD and co-owner of NorTech Specialized Services.

Prior Diesel, a Suretank company, has hired James Rix as operations manager. As a qualified manager and engineer, Rix will oversee the company’s daily operations while maintaining a high-quality standard for product development and delivery. During his 16 years in the oil and gas industry, he has worked on the design and development of new equipment, as well as in production and project management.

Panhandle Oil and Gas has appointed Chad L. Stephens III to its board of directors. His appointment reportedly brings the company’s number of board members to eight. Stephens presently serves as senior V.P. of corporate development at Range Resources Corp. in Fort Worth, Texas. He is on the company’s internal hedging committee and oversees all oil, gas and NGL marketing and sales.

ValvTechnologies, Inc., has appointed Michael Teele as director of global quality management. Based in Houston, Teele will set and maintain global quality standards, systems and processes. He has a broad technical background and 25 years of quality management experience. That experience reportedly includes application of core quality, lean, six sigma and continuous improvement disciplines, as well as the ability to leverage industrial engineering, manufacturing, R&D, testing and reliability competencies. He previously has held positions with companies including Proserv, Array Holdings, and Tyco Valves and Controls.

Xodus Group has named Enrico Salardi as decommissioning director. With more than 20 years of management experience in the oil and gas sector, he joins the company from Quadrant Energy in Australia. Salardi has overseen projects in Italy, Nigeria, Norway, Libya, Croatia, Egypt and Australia. He served Eni for 15 years before joining Apache Corp. in Perth. He reportedly has experience managing projects in various phases of their lifecycle, as well as in
new development projects.

Aqualis Offshore has hired Jasper Bergsma as its head of business development in the Netherlands. His appointment is in connection with the company’s expansion into the Netherlands. Based in Amsterdam, Bergsma will manage the company’s marketing services in the region. He brings extensive industry experience to his new role, as he previously held positions with Allseas and Fugro. Most recently, however, Bergsma served as director of Mokum Offshore.

Kfir Abutbul has joined the energy practice of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP in Houston. As a partner, he will advise private equity sponsors, their portfolio companies, and management teams on the implementation and successful completion of strategic corporate transactions. He will counsel clients on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and spin-offs, leveraged buyouts, joint ventures, investments and other related corporate advising.

Mark Sørheim has been named CEO at HydraWell. He reportedly succeeds the company’s co-founder, Odd Engelsgjerd, who will continue to serve as business advisor, board member and major shareholder.  Sørheim joins the company from Schlumberger in Aberdeen, where he served as integrated drilling and completion project director. He spent nearly 20 years at Schlumberger, in a variety of positions, including management roles in the UK, Norway and France, as well as operational roles in the UK, Colombia and India.

Santos has named Philip Byrne as executive V.P. of marketing and trading. He succeeds John Anderson, who has announced his retirement. As a member of the company’s executive committee, Byrne will now lead the new marketing and trading division. For 14 years, he served in senior commercial and exploration leadership roles at BG Group. Additionally, he served for seven years at BHP Petroleum as president of gas marketing in Asia/Australia, as well as president, Northwest Shelf Australia LNG. He also served previously as managing director and CEO at Nido Petroleum. 

LUX Assure, an oil and gas asset integrity and corrosion management firm, has named Martin Anderson as a new non-executive director to its board. Anderson, who serves as director at Kinstair Consultants, brings more than 34 years of industry experience to the role. This experience includes knowledge of the development and delivery of service models to the asset integrity market.

Harry Barnum has joined InterAct PMTI, an Acteon company, as principal consultant and regulatory manager. As a licensed geologist, Barnum brings an abundance of knowledge to his new role. He has overseen almost every facet of oilfield development, including reservoir analysis, drilling and facility optimization, waterflood and steamflood injection program design, property valuation, regulatory and safety compliance, training, mapping, and field engineering. His management experience spans both onshore and offshore oil production facilities.

Malcolm Christie has been hired to fill a senior technical support role at OEM Group. As an engineer with more than four decades of industry experience, Christie will manage each phase of the tendering process, providing technical assistance to the company’s engineers and customers. Additionally, he will perform cost analysis and technical quotations for key projects. He joins the company from Turner Engine Powered Services, where he most recently served as technical estimating manager. During his career, Christie has worked on projects in various regions of the world, including the Middle East, Asia, Far East and the U.S.

Clay Carter has been promoted to coatings operations manager at Danos. In his new position, he will oversee operation of the company’s coatings service line. Carter joined Danos in 2013 as a project manager and, in 2016, moved into the role of senior project manager.
