Weir Oil & Gas has appointed Ronan Le Gloahec as managing director of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regions. Based in Dubai, Le Gloahec will lead the company’s business unit.

Weir Oil & Gas has appointed Ronan Le Gloahec as managing director of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regions. Based in Dubai, Le Gloahec will lead the company’s business unit. He will procure operational and maintenance contracts with end-user E&P companies and NOCs in the region. Prior to joining Weir, Le Gloahec was senior V.P. for Welltec’s Middle East and Asia-Pacific regions. Prior to that, he served as the Europe, Caspian and Africa well services V.P. for Schlumberger.

Rene R. Joyce has been appointed to Apache Corporation’s board of directors. Joyce presently serves as midstream director at Targa Resources Corp. Previously, however, he held roles including executive chairman of the board and CEO at TRC. Additionally, he has served as president of onshore pipeline operations and president of energy services at Coral Energy, a subsidiary of Shell Oil Co.

Jim George has joined OEM Group as global business development manager. Based in Aberdeen, George will support operations in Europe and the Middle East. He brings more than four decades of industry experience to his new role. He held various procurement roles at VetcoGray for 13 years. He also worked for Oil Tools Europe for eight years and spent two years at Kuehne+Nagel. Most recently, however, George served as UK supply chain manager at DOF Subsea.

Halliburton Co. has elected Jeff Miller as president and CEO. The company’s former chairman and CEO, Dave Lesar, will continue to advise the company’s management team as executive chairman. After leading the company for 17 years, Lesar will retire on Dec. 31, 2018. Miller—who was previously the company’s president and a board member—will now manage the company’s day-to-day operations, as well as its financial objectives, technology development and overall strategic direction.

McDermott International has named Ty Lawrence as V.P., treasurer and investor relations. He succeeds Kathy Murray, who has been named V.P. of finance for project execution and delivery. Prior to his appointment, Lawrence served as senior director of finance for the company’s Americas, Europe and Africa regions. Since joining the company in 2013, he has held various roles, including subsea finance director and senior finance director for commercial and project support. Overall, Lawrence brings more than 20 years of accounting experience to his new position.

Jonah Energy has hired Patrick Welch as V.P. and CFO. Welch most recently served as executive V.P. and CFO of JP Energy Partners. Prior to that, he was CFO at Atlantic Power Corp. Additionally, he provided consulting services to numerous upstream and midstream energy companies. Welch also brings experience as a public accountant with PwC and Deloitte to his new role.

Engineering firm SengS has announced the appointment of Peter Thomson as managing director. Formerly the company’s operations manager, Thomson brings a wealth of knowledge—as well as more than 15 years of industry experience—to his new position. Since assuming the role in March, the company reportedly has secured new contracts worth more than £600,000 with operators and service companies for the repair and maintenance of several North Sea installations. In addition to Thomson’s appointment, the company’s founder, Murray Kerr, will move into the newly-created role of group strategic commercial director at Pryme Group, following its acquisition of SengS in November 2016.

Marathon Petroleum Corp. has named Jake Menefee as head of office for the company’s federal government affairs. This appointment reportedly follows the retirement of Patricia Richards, who spent 30 years at the company. She previously served as director of the company’s federal government affairs. Menefee presently serves as federal government affairs manager. In addition to a number of years working in the petroleum industry, he previously worked on Capitol Hill as a legislative director and deputy chief of staff for members on the House Financial Services Committee, and the Ways and Means Committee. Thus, Menefee brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his new role.

John Peterson has been hired as director of business development at BCCK Holding Company, a Texas-based engineering, procurement, fabrication and field construction company. In his new role, Peterson will build and maintain new, as well as existing business relationships throughout the Gulf and Rocky Mountain regions. He joins the company from STV Energy Services, where he served as director of business development, as well.

Anadarko Petroleum Corp. has announced several key appointments. Daniel E. Brown has been named executive V.P. of international and deepwater operations. Since 1998, Brown has held a variety of leadership roles, including V.P. of operations in the Appalachia region and business advisor for planning and reserves administration in the GOM. Most recently, however, he served as senior V.P. of international and deepwater operations. Additionally, Anadarko has named Bradley J. Holly as executive V.P. of U.S. onshore E&P. Since 1997, Holly has held positions including senior V.P. of operations for the Rocky Mountain region; V.P. of operations for the Southern and Appalachia region; and reservoir engineer and development supervisor on the Marco Polo and K2 developments in the deepwater GOM. Most recently, however, Holly was senior V.P. of U.S. onshore E&P. In addition, Anadarko’s former executive V.P., Darrell E. Hollek, will continue on as a senior advisor until his retirement later this year.

Wood Group has made several changes to its executive leadership team. The company has named Andrew Stewart as CEO of the asset life cycle solutions (ALCS) business in the western region. Most recently, Stewart was president of the construction, maintenance and operations business. Prior to that, he managed the company’s brownfield production services operations in Australia and Asia-Pacific. In addition, Wood Group has appointed Michele McNichol as executive president of integration. Her appointment follows the company’s March announcement regarding the potential acquisition of Amec Foster Wheeler. McNichol reportedly will lead the global integration of the business. Previously, she served as CEO of ALCS in the western region and CEO of Wood Group Mustang. Grant Angus has been appointed CFO for Wood Group’s specialist technical solutions business. With more than two decades of industry experience, Angus moves into his new role from his position as V.P. of finance and administration for the ALCS business in Europe.
