 Stale Tungesvik has taken over as president of Statoil’s Canadian operations. Tungesvik replaces Lars Christian Bacher, who has been appointed executive V.P. for Statoil’s Development and Production International unit. As president of Statoil Canada, Tungesvik is responsible for development and production activities, both for oil sands in Alberta and offshore Canada. Tungesvik has almost 30 years of energy sector experience, having previously been senior V.P. for renewable energy at Statoil.


Allied Energy Inc. has appointed Kenneth L. Poskey as CFO. Poskey, who replaces interim CFO Gene Kamarasy, will be in charge of all of the company’s accounting, finance and compliance functions. Poskey brings to Allied more than 25 years of experience in the finance and accounting industries, and has extensive experience in various aspects of the oil and gas industry, including audit, tax, financial accounting, project management, systems design and business development.


Variable Bore Rams, Inc. (VBR), has named Brandon Leger operations coordinator – Quality Control. Leger will be responsible for VBR’s Quality Program, a management system used to document the company’s best business practices, better satisfy the requirements and expectations of its customers, and improve the company’s overall management. Additionally, he will oversee the quality assurance of all OEM equipment and operations within VBR.


John S. D’Orazio has been appointed president and CEO of Roanoke Gas Company, the largest and primary subsidiary of RGC Resources, Inc. John B. Williamson III will continue as chairman of Roanoke Gas Company and chairman, president and CEO of RGC Resources, Inc. on a part-time basis during a management succession implementation period. D’Orazio has been V.P. and COO of Roanoke Gas Company since 2003. He joined the company in 1993.


The International Association of Dredging Companies (IADC) has appointed Peter de Ridder as the new president of the board. de Ridder has been employed at Van Oord nv, an IADC member company, for almost 40 years. He started his career with Van Oord in 1973 on the Eastern Scheldt barrier project, working first as a surveyor and later as project manager. In 1981, he became project manager at Van Oord’s first major overseas offshore contract in Australia. From 1983 to 1991, he was operations manager for Van Oord Offshore, and from 1991 to 1994, manager of Van Oord’s Engineering and Estimating department. As of 1994, de Ridder joined the Board of Van Oord ACZ and, after the merger with Ballast Ham Dredging in 2003, was appointed COO of the board of Van Oord nv, a position he continues to hold.


Transocean Ltd. has named Ihab Toma executive V.P. and chief of staff. In addition to continuing to oversee the company’s worldwide marketing effort, Toma will assume responsibility for Human Resources, the Global Supply Chain, and Information Technology. He will also provide strategic direction and help coordinate implementation of the company’s vision and strategy across the organization.


Norgren has appointed Phil Keating as its new business development director for the energy sector. Keating will lead Norgren’s technical team worldwide, working with customers to develop high-performance technical solutions to fluid and motion control challenges in oil and gas exploration, power generation and chemical processing. He will also coordinate all marketing activity for Norgren’s energy sector business.


Mirmorax AS has appointed Erlend Blanchard as the new business unit manager for Mirmorax Oil in Water. He comes to Mirmorax with more than 15 years of experience, working with oil and gas technology companies. In addition, Svein Torkelsen has been appointed the new Technical Product manager for the Mirmorax Oil in Water products. He has broad experience within the oil and gas industry, including a background in programming, as well as business experience working with some of the larger EPCs. He will be responsible for further developing the company’s oil-in-water monitoring portfolio, which was acquired from Roxar, a business unit of Emerson Process Management, in 2011. Snorre Løge has been appointed as an R&D engineer, based in the Mirmorax laboratory. The company has also appointed Malene H. Sørensen as marketing project manager, responsible for promoting the company and its involvement at many oil and gas trade shows. Anna Trishkina has been appointed as the company’s new finance and administration assistant.


Devin International, a division of Greene’s Energy Group, has named Donald Bearb as Assets and Maintenance manager. Based in Lafayette, La., Bearb will conduct a variety of duties. In addition to classification, implementing structure content and conducting yearly inventory counts, he will be responsible for reviewing MTR/COC information for new and existing Devin rental assets. He will also work with facility management teams and Quality Assurance/Quality Control coordinators to create maintenance procedures and frequencies for all Devin rental assets.  Prior to his position at Devin as Operations Manager – Macaé, Brazil, he was employed with Weatherford International for 38 years.


Chi Vinh Ly has been named as RoqSCAN operations manager of Fugro Robertson Inc. Based in Houston, Ly’s responsibilities include management of field- and laboratory-based projects for RoqSCAN, a fully portable, automated, quantitative rock properties and mineralogical analyzer. Additionally, he will manage the ongoing development of RoqSCAN’s capabilities with Carl Zeiss, the manufacturer of the base RoqSCAN system.


Xodus Group has named Dominic Wright as Flow Assurance lead in Houston. In this role, Wright will assist clients in extracting, processing and transporting hydrocarbons as safely, efficiently and economically as possible, managing the significant challenges of deepwater reservoirs in the Gulf of Mexico and Brazil, such as hydrate formation, wax deposition, slugging, corrosion and other potentially disruptive phenomena. Wright joins Xodus Group with more than 10 years of subsea engineering experience.


Atlas has appointed Kevin Short as director of sales. He will lead the global sales teams, a new position developed to deliver increased customer support and service to Atlas’s expanding business, based from Aberdeen. Short has 24 years of senior sales leadership and management roles in financial and information technology services, based in New York, London and Ireland.


Chesapeake Energy has named James R. Webb as senior V.P., legal and general counsel. Webb joins Chesapeake on a full-time basis after serving the past four months on a contract basis as chief legal counsel. For the past 17 years, he has practiced law at McAfee & Taft, Oklahoma’s largest law firm, and has served as a partner for the past 12 years.


Weatherford has appointed Jeanne Forbis as V.P. of corporate marketing and communications. In this role, Forbis will oversee the company’s corporate marketing, communications and advertising.  She joined Weatherford from a corporate communications leadership role at Land O’ Lakes, an international Fortune 220 company.  Forbis also has held leadership positions with Medtronic, ChevronTexaco, Conoco and Phillips Petroleum Company.


3Legs Resources has appointed Kamlesh Parmar as CEO. Parmar has been with the 3Legs Group since its activities commenced in 2007 and has previously held the position of Group Commercial Director and Poland Country Manager.
