Hoover Container Solutions has appointed Jake Rippstein as director of Technology Services. In his role, Rippstein will be responsible for the research and development and expansion of technology for Hoover’s Liquitrac business entity. Rippstein brings over 15 years of experience in automation and controls primarily used with petroleum equipment, level monitoring and telemetry sales in the retail petroleum, commercial/industrial and oil/gas industries. Most recently, he served as president of TankLogix.


Peritus International has appointed Robert Terrell as president of Peritus Americas, based in Houston Texas. With more than 30 years oil and gas experience, most of which have been spent managing offshore oil and gas developments around the world, Terrell brings with him a proven track record of successfully delivering projects for design, hardware and installation contracts, both small and large. His experience to date includes some of the deepest water developments in the Gulf of Mexico, Africa and South America, as well as most recently being involved in the Marine Well Containment Project.


IMV Projects, a Wood Group company, named Kumar Laxshimalla process engineering manager. Laxshimalla has over 30 years of international experience and has held a variety of engineering roles with companies, including Amec Americas Ltd., Jacobs Canada Inc., Worley Engineering, Sirte Oil Co. and Technip Geo Production.


Argentine President Cristina Kirchner has named Miguel Galuccio, a former executive from Schlumberger Ltd., as CEO of the recently nationalized oil and gas company, YPF SA. Galuccio, an engineer who was president of Schlumberger Production Management, worked for YPF from 1994 to 1999.


Foster Marketing has named Chelsea Troxler marketing director and Lindsay Brown production and trade show assistant. Troxler and Brown both began with Foster Marketing as interns and transitioned into associates after graduation. As marketing director, Troxler’s responsibilities will include new business development and management of the firm’s marketing, planning and promotion. As production and trade show assistant, Brown will assist with the firm’s media traffic and production.


Greene’s Energy Group (GEG) has promoted Carlos Chagas de Oliveira, Jr. to general manager, Brazil. Based in Macaé, Oliveira previously served as GEG’s senior operational manager where he was responsible for operational performance, developing supply chain policies and procedures and leading ISO certification and quality management efforts.


Imtech Marine has appointed Gennaro Pipoli to the position of managing director of Imtech Marine Singapore. Pipoli has built up an extensive track record and experience with General Electric, in several senior management positions.


Stork Technical Services announced two new senior management appointments. Dave Workman has been appointed to the new position of COO, and Erik-Jan Bijvank has been named senior V.P. - UK and Africa. As COO, Workman will oversee all operational matters and help drive Stork’s global growth plans across the company’s four key regions: UK & Africa, Continental Europe, MECAP (Middle East, Caspian, Asia-Pacific) and the Americas. Bijvank joined Stork in 1999 and served as V.P., Asset Management, over the last two years, where he led the delivery of integrity support services across the asset lifecycle.


Variable Bore Rams, Inc. has named Jared Primeaux operations and logistical coordinator and Mathew Brocato assembly technician. Primeaux’s responsibilities will include quality control for all active jobs and customer inquiry response. Primeaux holds a certification in Cameron BOP type “U”, advanced safety tracking management, basic rigger training, and operation safety. Brocato will manage warehouse inventory and maintain quality control of all BOP rams in VBR’s vast inventory.


TMK IPSCO appointed Dave Mitch to the position of senior V.P. and COO, based at the company’s headquarters in Downers Grove, Ill. In this newly-created role, Mitch will be responsible for all manufacturing, supply chain and quality functions within TMK IPSCO. Most recently, Mitch served as general manager at U.S. Steel Tubular.


Acteon has appointed Lester Clark as V.P. Clark has more than 20 years of industry experience and joins Acteon from Baker Hughes, where he was director for drilling systems in the Russia Caspian region. This involved leading a multidisciplinary team and having responsibility for providing all drilling systems activity in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and other Caspian countries. Clark will report to Bernhard Bruggaier, Acteon executive V.P. for operations. He will support InterMoor’s management team in their drive for continuing global expansion and business development.


Oceaneering International has appointed Roderick A. Larson senior V.P. and COO. Larson will have worldwide responsibility for all of the company’s oilfield business operations. He has over 20 years of oilfield service business experience with Baker Hughes, initially as a field engineer for Baker Atlas. Since January 2011, he has been serving as Baker Hughes’ president, Latin America Region. Previously, he served as V.P. of Operations, Gulf of Mexico region.


United States Steel Corp. has promoted Kurt A. Barshick to the position of general manager – Tubular Operations. In this position, he will be responsible for day-to-day operations at four of U. S. Steel’s tubular products manufacturing facilities: Fairfield Tubular Operations in Fairfield, Ala.; Lorain Tubular Operations in Lorain, Ohio; McKeesport Tubular Operations in McKeesport, Pa.; and Texas Operations Division in Lone Star, Texas.


Xylem has named Mike Delzingaro to the role of V.P. and director of sales for dewatering solutions. Delzingaro has 14 years of experience with Godwin Pumps and Xylem. Most recently he was regional manager for the Northeast region.


Occidental Petroleum Corp. has appointed Dale Petroskey as V.P., Public Affairs. Petroskey joins Occidental with more than 25 years of experience in communications and public affairs. He served as assistant press secretary in the White House for President Ronald Reagan, and later as assistant secretary of public affairs at the U.S. Department of Transportation.


Atmos Energy Corp. announced the addition of Bret J. Eckert to its senior management team as senior V.P. Eckert has more than 22 years of experience in the regulated natural gas distribution industry. He has extensive experience with SEC reporting matters and filings, regulatory accounting and reporting matters, equity/debt offerings, significant mergers/acquisitions/divestitures, public offerings, and technical accounting and financial matters.


Jimmie Stoute has been named president of survey company John Chance Land Surveys, Inc., a member of the international Fugro group of companies. Stoute joined Fugro over 30 years ago. He has been developing the company’s navigation and positioning services as well as initiating its Quality Improvement Program.
