TransCanada announced the appointment of a new independent director, Paula Rosput Reynolds. Reynolds is the President and CEO of PreferWest. Most recently, she served as Vice Chairman and Chief Restructuring Officer of American International Group Inc., and President and CEO of Safeco Corporation.


At an awards ceremony hosted by a regional magazine in Dubai, Bijan Mossavar-Rahmani, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of RAK Petroleum Public Company Limited and Executive Chairman of DNO International ASA, was honored as the outstanding industry leader of the year for 2011. Mossavar-Rahmani serves concurrently as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Foxtrot International and as CEO of Mondoil Enterprises. He was founder and first chief executive of Houston-based Apache International.


Noble Corporation announced that James A. MacLennan has been named as Senior VP, CFO and Controller. MacLennan will be responsible for financial reporting, accounting, tax and treasury activities at the company. He previously served as CFO and Corporate Secretary of Ennis Traffic Safety Solutions.


President Petroleum announced the appointment of Carlos Felices as General Manager Argentina. Felices is the former CFO of YPF, Argentina’s largest oil and gas company.


Colfax Corporation announced the appointment of Rick McKay to account manager for Colfax Fluid Handling’s Power Generation and Industrial Solutions. McKay will help drive the sale of a complete spectrum of fluid handling products and services across the South Central territory, which encompasses Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. McKay has more than 20 years of expertise in engineered pumping systems, automated control valve systems and lubrication equipment.


Magellan Petroleum Corp. has appointed Milam Randolph Pharo to the position of VP, General Counsel and Secretary. Pharo has served in private legal practice, focusing on oil and gas matters, and as a general counsel to a public oil and gas company. Prior to this appointment, Pharo held several positions at SM Energy Company from 1996 to 2010, including VP - Land and Legal, and Senior VP and General Counsel.


Norwegian Energy Company (Noreco) has named Ørjan Gjerde as the new CFO. Gjerde has almost 20 years of experience within finance and management, and comes from the position as CFO in Malthus AS. He has previously had similar positions in Proserv Group and IKM Gruppen among others. Gjerde is a state authorised public accountant and resides in Sola near Stavanger.


Nancy E. Bowers, Ph.D., a licensed geoscientist and published author, has joined Fugro Gravity & Magnetic Services (FGMS) as Senior Geophysicist. Based in Houston, Bowers will be responsible for gravity and magnetic data sales. She also will provide technical expertise for the FGMS sales and marketing departments.


Martin Craighead has assumed the role of Baker Hughes’ President and CEO. Craighead, whose tenure with the company dates back to 1986, most recently served as Baker Hughes’ President and COO since 2010, its COO since 2009 and Senior VP from 2009 to 2010. Prior to that, Craighead had various global and regional operational and management responsibilities for an array of the company’s business units.


Danny Murray has been named to the newly created position of business development manager for the Middle East and North Africa at TWMA. He previously held senior positions with R&M Energy Systems and Varco. Most recently Murray served as Regional Manager with COR International in Dubai with responsibility over the MENA region.


Delta Rigging & Tools, Inc. announced that Mitch Hausman has joined the company as President and COO. Hausman has more than 30 years experience in the wire rope and rigging industry to lead Delta Rigging & Tools. Hausman began his career in 1979 with WireCo World Group. Since then he has held several key executive positions, including President and CEO with Southwest Wire Rope.


Vallourec subsidiary Serimax has appointed Frederic Castrec as managing director. Castrec joined Serimax in 1996 as a welding engineer and held a number of senior positions, including COO, prior to taking over the managing director role.


Ralph Norris has agreed to join the board of Origin Energy as an independent non-executive director, effective from April 1, 2012. Norris was Managing Director and CEO of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia until Nov. 30, 2011, prior to which he was Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ASB Bank and Air New Zealand Limited.


Fluor Corporation announced several management changes. The company has named Jeffrey Ruebesam as VP, to lead the company’s global Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) function. Kirk Grimes will assume the role of group executive for Operations overseeing the company’s Construction, Procurement, Project Risk Management and Sustainability functions, as well as Project Execution Services, Project Excellence Network and Strategic Planning. Garry W. Flowers has been named group president for Global Services which includes Fluor’s operations & maintenance business, TRS temporary staffing and AMECO equipment rental business.


Kosmos Energy announced that Darrell McKenna has been named as COO. In this role, McKenna will be responsible for the Company’s global drilling, development, and production functions, as well as Kosmos’ health, environment, and safety programs. Prior to joining Kosmos Energy, McKenna held the position of President of Hess Australia for Hess Corporation. McKenna also served as Vice President of multiple functions at Hess Corporation, including Global Drilling and Completions, Exploration and Production Technology, as well as the Africa Business Unit.


Bristow has appointed Ian Taylor as the European Business Unit’s new Quality and Safety Manager. With more than 20 years of experience in the aviation industry, Taylor joins Bristow from its affiliate group, FB Heliservices, where he held the same role. Relocating from Dubai, Taylor will be located at the company’s Aberdeen office.


Exterran Inc. named Brad Childers as CEO. He had previously served as interim CEO and senior VP. Prior to 2002, he worked for Occidental Petroleum. William Austin was named CFO. Austin previously worked as CFO of Valerus Compression Services, and Key Energy Services.


Emerson Process Management today announced that it has appointed Frode Sedberg as the new regional manager for Brazil within its Roxar Software Solutions (RSS) division. Sedberg, who brings eight years of reservoir engineering experience to Emerson, will be tasked with building on recent growth in the region and strengthening key relationships with operators. Frode will be based in Emerson’s Rio de Janeiro office.


Martin Deffontaines has been appointed VP, Investor Relations of Total. He succeeds Bertrand de La Noue who is appointed General Representative for Total in China. Deffontaines has been VP- Strategy within Strategy Business Development R&D Division, in Exploration Production, since 2010.
